What a weird take.

More Switch games in development is fine..... if they will be playable on whatever the successor is. I’d really like Nintendo to start discussing the future.

Will the Switch cartridges fit in the new system? Will digital games (and saves) be carried over? Will the Switch Online retro games (and saves) work on the new

At this point they are making more Splatoon games than Mario ones. I am still shocked we never got DLC for Mario Odyssey - more self-contained worlds seemed like a no-brainer

While I’m excited to see some of these games again (Oracle games! Golden Sun!) Nintendo really needs to start discussing the future.

Yeah. I assume we are going to get a Zelda Direct at some point to go over what the fuck this game is right? I’m surprised a date for one wasn’t announced today.

I think because Sony went to the regulators (without them asking for input yet) to complain about how the deal was unfair. So it stirred everyone up.

I still want Advance Wars, but I’m not sure I’ll make it far through that while still working on Fire Emblem! But at least I will finally be able to own it for when I get around to playing it

The lead dev has been gone for two years..

I enjoy both MCU movies and The Boys, and I can see the more adult, serious themes in it. But then I can also see the haha look he got strangled by a giant dick isn’t that hilarious that isn’t “mature”.

I miss the ridiculous press conferences. And I really, really miss the 3 days of Nintendo Treehouse. That was some fun stuff to watch.

What a weird world we live in now where Syfy renews shows and other networks throw theirs in the trash

I’m curious on why this skin is 1 currency. The skeptic in me thinks it will let Blizzard report higher in-game store usage next quarter, even if a lot were only for a one coin skin.

Eh. Never try to understand what Nintendo says about how long systems are staying around. “Half its lifespan” doesn’t mean no new hardware until the end - it means production won’t end right when a successor releases.

Yup! Did you get your year in review from Nintendo? Mine was “Sparks of Hope for 25 hours”, “Kirby for 9 hours”, “NES Online for a little bit”

And it was probably(?) one of the first games to offer free DLC hah. Cavedog kept releasing new units for us to download and load into the game.

Reading this made me think back the Total Annihilation days - where when doing multiplayer with friends, you had to select maps based on the RAM everyone had. If someone only had 32MB, you weren’t doing the 64MB maps!

I imagine Phil Spencer took a screenshot of the “PS5 exclusive” tag and sent it to the FTC.

I don’t think the regulators cared until Sony started throwing a tantrum that they might lose CoD.

Do we know the process for unlocking Kiriko for those that didn’t do it in season 1 with the battle pass?

Yeah. I’m not sure what Activision would look like if this merger fails, but I can’t imagine it would be good. I expect layoffs immediately, for starters.
