Acknowledgment of Steven Universe (and Regular Show)! This is just the first step back towards regular reviews!

What I loved most about John Wick (besides Willem Dafoe, great cinematography, and fluid action) was just how full and interesting the criminal underworld was in that world. It doesn't even need to be John again, just have the next movie involve The Continental and I'll be happy.

If hunger gave you the appearance and powers of Danny Trejo, why would you ever trade that gift for a candy bar?

IKEA interrogation… That has promise. I imagine most crooks would crumble after a few hours of being unable to figure out a shelving unit.

I wouldn't say they're looking for that so much as trying to raise a feeling of "EFF YEAH, FIGHT THE POWAH!" The artist v. business narrative is too commonplace for overcoming corporate pushback to be a true controversy.

BREAKING UPDATE: Episode 43 is going to be an Amethyst and Greg episode!

AND she did it all while her gem was damaged. I can see Steven becoming a bridge not just between Gems and humans, but even between the Crystals and the other Gems.

I've set Lapis to the side in a category all her own (maybe Peridot too, now), but our gem preferences seem to be fairly closely aligned. Even divorced of the show's and her character's context, I adore her because her design is Streets Ahead.

I bet I can guess your favorite gem who isn't Pearl.

Though it's mostly episodic, there are certain things, especially concerning Steven's powers and the lore of the show, that build up gradually, and episodes 24 and 25 have a HUGE development that shifts up much of what comes afterwards.

What happened? I don't normally watch Gumball.

Have you played any of his recent games? If you were Sonic, you'd be crying too.

Essentially, a question about the theory was met with quiet paper readjusting.

Especially funny considering that Pearl is the one that's supposed to be by-the-books and rule-oriented.

From the Q & A Rebecca and Ian did at Magfest this weekend:

That should be coming next week in "On the Run!"

There's no doubt that Stevonnie is the best fusion. For second place, I'm a bit conflicted. I prefer the elegance of Opal, but Nicki Minaj's performance as Sugilite was superb.

Pearl.

Amethyst.
