I think you can open either end, but the edge is sharp so be careful.

Can O’ Peas for a door? Great idea!
No I’m not. The first reply to my original comment said I was blind and questioned what I thought was a good looking car, a Versa? So I told them something I thought was good looking that exemplified the classic proportions I am talking about the AMG GT doesn’t. I did not say or even imply that because one car is…
I agree. I think the problem is they didn’t know how to follow a near perfect design. We have to change something and we want to go more modern and flashy instead of classically beautiful. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. It isn’t bad, it just isn’t great and that is what it was following.
One of my favorite car columns is Robert Cumberford’s By Design. He dissects exterior and interior design and points out details that you don’t even notice that make a great design. Though he is far more complimentary of the GTS than I am, I think his criticisms echo mine. I’ll defer tho him, perhaps I’ve been a…
Wrong Said Fred has spoken. So let it be written, so let it be done.
I agree. My dad used to (sarcastically) say he was glad everyone didn’t have good taste. If they did all their stuff would look just like mine.
It is mostly the proportions for me. All of the front-mid engine location cars look out of proportion hood to rear deck ratio. The Ferrary 612 and MB SLR are the same way. I don’t think this is a car that will be remembered in 25 years like Aston’s current cars or even the Audi R8. That car tries hard too, but is just…
Never seen one in the wild, but I saw it at an auto show. Color me unimpressed. As much as anything I think it is the curse of wanting to have the front/mid engine location. All of the cars like the Ferrari 612, MB SLR, and this one are ungainly. Too long of a hood for their rear deck proportionally. Add to that…
Everyone thinks they are beautiful because they are. Have you ever heard of a person that thinks the Vantage is ugly? And the reason I listed my idea of a good looking car was because I asked.
Ya.
My idea of a good looking car is an Aston Martin DB9 or Vantage for example. But a Versa is a more coherent design. I actually think they found a way to make a less attractive car than the SLR. I didn’t think that was possible.
I don’t get the love for this design. The proportions are awful and it looks like 10 people were asked to design different sections of a car and they were all stuck together at the end. It just doesn’t appeal to me at all.
If used cars count then I nominate the Alfa Romeo 8C.
AM Vantage.
AUDIO LEVELS: The one thing I don’t like about a lot of car videos is the audio levels. Talking is low and car noise is high. The engine is screaming so you turn it down then when dialog starts you can’t hear so you have to turn it up. If I want to hear the engine scream for a bit I can turn it up. Usually I would…
I wish the camera man wouldn’t have been trying to masturbate simultaneously with filming.
Interesting. While the P and B switch can’t be explained by a typo it could be argued that many words people type regularly have the sequence “umb“ in them. It may be habit - repeat rather than typo. However, if that was the excuse you would think the mix would be more even. It would also be interesting to know which…
J.J. Abrams is probably on Facebook too. He didn’t do the movie any favors.
