First, I thank you for the cordiality. It’s great to see some tolerance for other opinions from an EV proponent. :-)

What do you call a 911 at the bottom of the ocean? You know the answer.
Less tall and sleeker could be more aerodynamic. Not that I care. I like the look and that’s what I want. I won’t get it because everyone else wants tall CUV/hatch like proportions.
It may be functional, but I think it’s ugly. Can they make one that is aerodynamic and attractive?
I am still hoping for a traditional sedan. A 2/3 scale Model S. I have no interest in some CUV with an ugly X nose. If they are making a CUV next anyway, just make a damn sedan.
Dear EPA,
Porsche 911
I understand your perspective.
I don’t think that printing money thing is going to work out too well. I do agree that the government could spend less. A lot less. I also agree that ethanol and hydrogen are dead ends.
This article puts oil companies at #1, #2, and #6 in highest taxed companies. The article you linked admitted that much of the taxes are not income taxes, but other taxes.
Tax rates go up and new taxes are introduced to try to cover deficits. Yes we do pay these “credits” in increased taxes and increased debt.
I suppose if you look at the small picture “we” are just increasing our debt. ZEV credits do drive up the cost of cars that we buy from other companies however. That is a direct cost to me.
Two wrongs don’t make a right. Both are wrong.
Yes we do pay for them with taxes.
I still think it’s silly. And we (taxpayers and people who buy cars from other car companies) are being forced to help people buy them. That is what a subsidy and carbon credit offset payments are. no we are not forced to buy them ourselves but we are coerced.
I suppose it is the market pool they are look at. They’ve done well so they must be doing something right.
I find the name thing pretty lame. The Model 3 (or E) doesn’t slot between the S and X in any logical manner. Not size, not chronologically, not price. It is just so stupid. Just make good cars at a reasonable price and give good service and you’ll succeed. Oh, and try not to force people to buy them or pay for other…
Other than being “a grand tourer” why wouldn’t you take it to a track day? A DB9 is more of a GT than an all out sports car and I’d take that to a track day?
“Tesla has lost its chief spokesman”... at first I thought autoblog.com went under or something.
