So you don’t street the Helicron, because it’s uphill both ways...

I was there with the Curbside Classic group and it was cool watching the Hoffman video on my phone while looking at the car right in front of me!

The fact that the Lane allows you to shred gross hot dog meat all over their exhibits just exponentially increases my respect for them.

Lol. I expect to see y’all in costume when I finally get my butt out there.

Obligatory “The goggles! They do nothing!” joke.

You’re like the Willy Wonka of transportation. It’s awesome.

I see a racing sponsor

I wake up every day and drive a car that munches pedestrians-

There were also kits to turn the Volvo 440 into a wagon, but Volvo itself did not approve of those.

If you ever want to play with a Panda 4x4, Stuart, the guy whos website you posted helped send one to Lane Motor Museum in Nashville.

I think it was a fairly common feature in those days. It probably came in handy. I know there’s stories of people driving their Fuldas all over Europe like it was a normal car which I find amazing. I thought maybe Goggomobils did it, but they have buckets, so that would be less practical for a “bed.” An Isetta 600 is

Probably. My S-7 does. I think, anyway. That brochure, though, is for an earlier S-4 and gives the impression the car is twice as big as it actually is. In reality, those two people would be practically on top of each other. Not necessarily amorously.

Fuldamobil, too, advertised this ability. Probably even cozier than a Janus.

Ha. I’ve driven the former Bruce Weiner one. I got to visit that place before it was open to the public. I spent the weekend there and pretty much only left the museum building to sleep the whole time. And I would have slept in there, too, if Bruce had let me.

The green Janus is at the Lane Motor Museum in Nashville and the yellow one was at the Bruce Wiener Microcar Museum (RIP) in Madison Georgia.

That’s an awesome lineup. Yeah, I guess that was the “sports” version. There was a Berline as well, if I remember correctly. A Mini Comtesse for every occasion.
