I do not get the love folk have for Chris Pratt taking over Harrison Ford's roles. They're both handsome American men, but their personalities, looks, and 'vibes' are all totally different though. Chris Pratt is a very modern kind of lunky movie star (I don't mean that in a negative way at all), whereas a big part of

Oh God, I immediately went 'Fifteen years ago? Get outta here' but it's essentially true…

Does anyone know why the look of this game was half film, half new? For instance, Gollum's model was exactly the same as in the films, but Sauron's armour, his dark tower, the black gate, and the rest of Mordor were all either noticably different from the films or out and out new designs. It's like they had the

Haha, I've only seen that version once, and probably something like fifteen years ago, and that's the main thing I remember hating about it.

That is the best version - I'm irritated that the Jim Carrey and Patrick Stewart ones are remembered better.

I don't think so - Filoni and Lucasfilm aren't going to have the protagonist of their animated show become the big, Satanic, Emperor-equivalent of the new films; nor would they link such an important part of the films to something a tiny portion of moviegoers will ever be aware of.

Eh, it's a blaze of glory with many qualifications -

'Like Tolkien' - whoah, hold on there. There is no evidence Tolkien was a racist. He might have been as racist as the average educated Brit born in the late 19th century, but we can't start writing off hundreds of millions of people because they grew up in more racist circumstances than we did.

Muse were one of my favourite bands about ten years ago when I was a teenager - I dug out some of their stuff recently to listen to, and while the music itself is still absolutely great some of the lyrics really made me cringe. 'Some lyrics' became 'nearly all of the lyrics' when I re-listened to Black Holes and

Plus it lets them have umpteen of them rather than two. It also helps draw a line under RotJ: while the Empire's still kicking about, at least the Rebellion managed to put Palpatine's particular brand of evil force cult permanently down.

Dammit, you did it first.

But we had a Laura laughs before it did.

Gandalf - "Who could possibly defeat the Lord of the Rings?"

I'm a big fan of - "Oh, she's a professional agent - she's not interested in shagging!"

I only discovered - and watched the entirety of - Archer a few months ago, and it's amazing how vastly, vastly superior it is to every other comedy show on the air just now (that I know of).

I loved the wee baby Seamus joke, but I can't begin to explain why. 'The wee baby Seamus' is just fun to say.

It's right there in the text -

I don't if you're joking, but I genuinely think that would be a cool thing to have done. He could have also been a good Sauron in one of the eerie psychic sequences.

Ned: Now, the secret to the windmill hole is to…
Maude: Not hit the blades?
Ned: Bingo.

It's bizarrely fun to use 'queer' with its original meaning. You feel like an old timey, uh, person.
