All entries are submitted to the Academy for consideration. Gandolfini's people submitted him as a supporting, which does make sense.

Midnight in Paris, Match Point, Husbands and Wives, Shadows and Fog, and Deconstructing Harry are all really good. I personally love Scoop and Whatever works. The late 90s and early 00s produced most of Allen's true stinkers, but he's made some gems since the 80s.
It isn't really though. He didn't really do anything beyond the realm of what someone would have to do in order to survive. It was horrifying to watch him forced to whip Patsey, but that didn't make him inhuman. The film was more about what happened to Solomon than who Solomon was.
Health Classes should show Requiem for a Dream. While 12 Years a Slave does an adequate job in showing the world that slavery is bad, I don't think there was much in it that wasn't covered before. Requiem for a Dream might stop some kids from doing drugs.
I agree. The acting was top notch as was the production quality (not surprising given the cast and high quality of McQueen's other two films), but I didn't take much away from it. It's been done before and I don't think the film did a particularly good job developing Solomon as a character beyond that of a guy that…
7th Heaven was their longest drama series. Granted, only one year was on the CW but Smallville and Supernatural both saw time on the WB so there's that.
Yes. That is why I come to websites like this.
"To name just Kendrick? That shit made me feel funny. No, in that case, you robbed everybody. We all need text messages!"
His Macklemore criticism was only half right. He was on point for criticizing Macklemore's instagram post, but not for saying that Macklemore owed texts to him, Jay-Z, and Kanye. This just comes across as bitter and petty.
Seth Meyers and Joe Biden can compete for who has the more obnoxious fake smile.
Betty White as Claudette. Tim Roth as Peter. Christopher Mintz-Plasse as Denny.
Tilda Swinton would be a convincing Tommy Wiseau. Vincent Pastore should play Sandy Schklair. Josh Radnor is obliviously unaware of his own obnoxiousness so he'd make a good Mark.
I just spend 30 bucks on the complete New Jedi Order series. In my head I was thinking "you don't need this and you'll read less than half," but it was 30 bucks. Money well spent even if a certain character meets his tragic end.
I think the use of Patton Oswalt in the article highlights the fact that while people who frequent websites like this will be harder on Leno, he still delivered a show that won its time slot for many years. He's detestable to people who care about the art form of TV but he gave a lot of people exactly what they wanted…
It's not particularly legitimate. People are the way they are. That's none of your business.
I saw Axl Rose with GNR at Madison Square Garden eight years ago. First band came on at 8, second at 9 and then Axl came out at 11:30, more than hour and half after the second was done. He then alternated songs with solos from all 8 members of his live band and had Sebastian Bach sing the last few songs. Show was over…
I smoke cause I'm hoping for an early death.
Coach is the problem. The show doesn't know where it's going and with the addition of another main character, it lost any sense of urgency to find out.
Looks like they picked up the Jerry pilot in Japan finally.
I think Greene's last words echo in Donna Bowman's ear every week she grades a HIMYM episode. "Be generous."
