Of course, they’ll do it on 70 octane gas, were such a thing still available.

I remember to this day a Model A passing my dad, uphill on 208 in Wykoff. He was driving a 6 cylinder Ford Mavrick, with our canoe on the roof, and had it floored. The “A” needs an aftermarket overdrive to cruise at modern highway speeds, IIRC, but once fitted, it’s surprisingly long-legged.

Is there something wrong with me that as soon as I saw the car I wondered when Doug DeMuro is getting one?

Only way it’s crack pipe is if there is significant rust underneath. Or something sketchy with title, or picture is not of the actual car....

The Northeast salts roads, southern Cali doesn’t. I get why he did it; if I had the money, I’d travel across the country for the perfect 190 2.3-16v.

I don’t get “stolen” - if someone steals my bike, I don’t have it anymore. If someone grows the crops that grown where I live, how have I lost anything?

The last time I had oil heat it’s because I lived in a rural area (Long Valley, NJ) and gas hookup wasn’t an option. Isn’t that the case for most people?

Too big a hurt and they close plants and screw their employees. It’s not fair, but that’s how it works. As a practical matter, we can’t impose a penalty so severe they decide to leave US Market.

Russia lost WWI and most of its early 20th century and 19th century wars - Napoleon excluded. They’re tough but not unbeatable.

I honestly hope three-wheelers remain niche, because it wouldn’t take too many high profile accidents before the loophole gets closed, “for the children.”

My girlfriend’s late mother was in a PhD program with George Kennan as her thesis adviser. She quit very suddenly and got married.

By “demagoguing” I meant “racism, xenophobia, and staggering ignorance of how government functions” but you’re right - it isn’t clear, sorry.

Same here, and it (often) seems to work. But ... I just cancelled Saturday plans with a made-up excuse, so understand this comes from a partial hypocrite.
