I put in a reservation in January and should be getting a 2022 ID.4 Pro S AWD from Germany sometime between December and February. Really looking forward to it.

“... and she is an actual German from Munich who now inexplicably lives in Cincinnati, Ohio. Why Cinci? I couldn’t say, but I also can’t recommend it.”
And how many EVs have you driven? It sounds more like your assumption than anything else. Besides, I think your statement is completely backwards. If all EVs totally took the drivetrain differences out of the equation (which I don’t think is accurate), then that would make every other aspect of the vehicle MORE…
This makes no sense. The sizes of those cubes is enormous compared to the wear mass that is listed above.
It’s Porsche, and you can get a base 4 cylinder Macan or Boxster with any color under the sun with their paint-to-sample program. It’s not just the expensive models. True the paint choice is expensive, but it’s not exclusive to the Turbo and GT cars.
A screenshot from Rennbow which happened to pick up the beginning of the gray section. You all are very picky.
Agreed, but one Dodge purple does not trump the numerous purples available on Porsches for the past 60 years.
Good riddance.
Saw one in the wild yesterday in Cincinnati. They are out there, even if the distance between them could be measured in light-seconds.
Yes, the Korean offerings look good styling-wise, but they are huge. If you want small hatchback EV the Bolt is the only choice in USDM. everything else is a mid size crossover.
Drive a Bolt. I took it on a test drive thinking I wasn’t going to like it, but like Kyle Conner said in his reviews of it, the Bolt is a hot hatch. Ended up buying it that day.
Wow, can’t unsee that. You are totally right.
“I don’t recall Porsche making a turbo four-cylinder.” Porsche doesn’t.
to make a rudimentary
lathesubstitute.
What this comment section needs to understand is this is a mandate to the EXTERIOR sound only. You can make whatever artificial engine noise you want on the INTERIOR. I would love to have Tie Fighter sounds or Shepard Tone playing during hard acceleration.
Fair enough. I’m not buying gas anymore since I switched to an EV. But I also fit what the article is saying since I live inside the city limits of a major metro city.
No, it is not the case. Inside EVs is an excellent resource for 70 mph range tests. Most other manufactures meet or even exceed (Porsche) their EPA ranges, but Tesla likes to look good on paper and does everything in its power to display good numbers, but in the real world one would need to do 55-60 mph to achieve…
My daily commute is around 105 miles round trip. I never hit traffic and it’s a pretty drive through rolling hills in the country, so it’s not hateful. I wouldn’t trade my peaceful 60 minute commute for a 30 minute one in suburbia with traffic and congestion.
And all the Teslas in the real world get -15% from their EPA ratings.
Didn’t stick around long enough to find out, but I strongly suspect you are right.
