It’s funny they specifically use the wording “12% reduction in range” as may media outlets have pointed out that Tesla’s routinely miss their EPA range by around 30%, unless you only drive dead flat highways at 80°F and 50 mph.

Funny you mention this as Project Farm did a rundown of these very tools just a few days ago. The Milwaukee pair ran away with the highest recommendations and the Dewalt 60 took home the budget pick.

ND.  The color is wonderful, but the wheels, fake model badge and Tiptronic are a no-go.

VIN Analytics has the complete list of every US Transsyberia and this is not one. It was a standard GTS.

Seriously, am I the only one that sees very serious errors with there aggregation?  Did no one else take statistics or any other data analysis like LSS?

There is so much wrong with the calculations in columns B through R. The weighted averages for the consumption and temperature don’t compensate for the speed at which each of the models was run for each test. I’ll give you an example:

I blame Adobe.  They were among the first software companies to start migrating to a solely subscription business model.

I’d like to hear how well a Panamera Turbo S handles this type of brake testing.

Elizabeth,

Don’t pick up a date in a hearse.

I am currently driving the 2013 Prius we bought brand new.  It has 175k miles on it and my commute is ~30k/yr.  I’m keeping it for the next year and seeing what the market looks like (possibly ID.4 or Macan EV).  The current supply situation means that spec’ing and ordering a new car right now would yield a delivery

After the test drive I can report that even the lowly RWD Taycan lives up to the hype (even with modest options - base battery, no insulated glass, premium package only). I can’t wait to try the 4S or Macan EV next year. Going to do everything within reason to make a Macan EV my next daily driver.

People would take naps at the track—as if people will fight crowds and traffic to get to such a dull venue to catch some sleep.

I hope you get it.

A single base RWD version is the only one not spoken for at the Porsche dealerships in SW Ohio (Cincinnati-Dayton).  Looking forward to it even if it is “only” the 375 hp stripper version.

Going for a test drive on Saturday morning in a RWD Taycan.  Can’t say how excited I am about that.  I have been following it since it was the Mission E concept in 2015.

I’ve met a couple coworkers in rural Kentucky who vaguely recalled the name Tesla after a few leading comments. It’s weird that I’m less than an hour from Cincinnati where I probably see 20+ Tesla’s daily on my commute to people who think they know the name and wouldn’t recognized them if they walked into their front

This is truly a shocking revelation. I am amped up for the future. I’m sure Purdue really appreciates the plug for the research they have been doing into this.
