EV’s are debatable on environment benefit

Model S

I watch his videos just to hear him say “hakkapeliitta”.

same car, same tires (2005 XT), in SW Ohio

No they are not.  They are all season tires that are rated for severe winter conditions.  Not all 3PMSF tires are dedicated winter.

Personal experience, the Cross Climate+ have been by far the best all season tires I have ever experienced, full stop. The Blizzak WS80 tires on my wife’s Outback XT (2005) are certainly superior, but the “all weather” tires have closed the gap enough to say I’m not going to hassle with a second set of wheels for my

It is purple in the same way the Reasonably Priced Vauxhall Astra on Top Gear was ‘brown’.

That was completely ad lib, and genious.  I just saw Midnight Cowboy for the first time around 6 months ago and now understand why it is so celebrated, but also pretty bleak and heartbreaking.

I think you miss remember the size of vehicles. Yes, old Cadillacs, trucks, and wagons (read: Ford Country Squire, Buick Estate) were wide and long. But today’s SUV are wider and much taller with worse blind spots. Vehicle size inflation is significant.

Now I am considering taking a vacation day tomorrow and sitting at home to watch every possible angle of this series of events.  I could chalk it up as a mental health day, and would be better for it.

Wow, so much intriguing information in there. I’d like to read your memoir (or blog at least).

Zeppelin being 15 should be considered a felony, as it assaults sound reasoning and good taste.  Top 10 easily.

Sorry, misread.  I was confused which term was being used for each engine type.  Subarus and Porsches both use boxer engines.  Ferrari is the company that mislabels engines.

All boxer engines are flat, but not all flat engines are boxer.

RE: Kia Brake change

It’s easy to lead when you have an 8 year head start.  Give it time.  If you look up Tesla market cap and compare it to VAG it is similarly laughable as the map you have provided, but in the opposite direction.

A manufacturer actually going out of its way to empower and inform its customers about alternative power (read: plug-in vehicles)?!?  I think GM should take note after its well-publicized lack of sales/dealer education and misinformation to customers (or potential customers).

So, now BMW has 2-door and 4-door versions of every since series?  Why?  I thought the addition of the 2 and 4 series was supposed to separate similar models by number of doors.  I was wrong.

The Supra wing was just a more extreme version of the 959.

The weight difference between the 4S Perf+ and the Turbo should be relatively small, since they both use the same battery. My guess is tire/wheel size is the only difference.
