You are forgetting that people in rural communities depend on STOL aircraft, and the operators can’t afford to update their aircraft to Turboprop. All the best STOL aircraft are older designs like the DC3...

‘plane owners are among the moneyed crowd”
Complete and utter bullshit. We’ve had to fight that idiotic myth since the 1903s.
Visit a local public GA airport, talk to pilots and owners then get back to us.
Once last point, where the hell do you think newly minted commercial pilots moving the airlines come from?
If you say

You can’t economically upgrade these aircraft to a new type of engine. You can’t just swap any engine into a certificated aircraft. You can only do an engine swap if you get a supplemental type certificate from the FAA. This would cost millions of dollars for each variant of each type of aircraft.

Thanks, now people won’t have to share their comments at all.

Nah, it’s just the FIA and ACO have been walking on eggshells since Porsche/Audi left.

Top-tier move to start something new, lose at it, and then  immediately accuse the other guy of cheating and/or the rules of being rigged.

So, pretty standard position from a losing team in WEC.

1/28th of our total debt is in Chinese hands, the majority of it in long term bonds based on their faith in the US to pay them off...they have little to do with the discussion (as does “money printers”); the Treasuries market is not thin air and is based on the US economy being robust and long lasting and that we are

I make 80k/year. I own a house.

But the article needs a headline.... so

Suspicion is not evidence, and accusation is not proof. You can find someone’s story as suspicious as you like, but if you want to accuse someone of something then you need actual proof of wrongdoing. Unless you are a cop, apparently, then suspicion is evidence and accusation is proof.

“Sounding suspicious as hell”, “not trusting banks”, and “raising red flags for random internet commentators” is not, as far as I’m aware, any legal test for the seizure of assets.

The only reason they are able to still keep around, in spite of the repeated misses, is that there hasn’t been another 9/11 style attack.

Now playing

The TSA’s actual, supposed, function of preventing hijackings was accomplished by reinforcing and locking cockpit doors long ago. It isn’t even theater at this point, it is, well lets have Giant Robot Galvatron tell what it is:

Russell has proved that he can be a good boy and follow instructions (so far) given that he’s been gracious about his seat at Williams while very obviously wanting to be at Merc.

Digging around court records, it looks like they originally filed soon after the incident, but the TSA argued that they (or their counsel) didn’t properly follow procedure and got it dismissed.

Centennial is far from a hellhole.

“All the dumb NIMBYs and Conservatives who wants giant SFH/lots will never ever go on vacation to some hellhole that they choose to live in.”

If they were indigenous they would have been.

The officers were immediately put on leave when the vandalism was discovered and have since been fired.
