Actually Anonymous turned out in greater numbers than I expected in London today. The police took a moment to yell at a friend of mine to “stop videotaping” when he was just on Twitter.

He “voluntarily” pays some taxes but no one outside the Duchy is allowed to look into the tax arrangements.

Because none of the mainline used to have to pay. She was effectively forced into paying Income Tax in exchange for the taxpayer rebuilding her castle.

It’s just an aside with missed matched punctuation. Would have been better in parenthesis.

Mortal Dictata will correct me if I’m wrong but I believe Prince Charles gets a, or the, substantial income from the Duchy of Cornwall which is why Cornwall was mentioned, and he too agreed to pay income tax after the Windsor fire.

In the UK none of these dealings are really “revelatory”. Everyone’s known for decades that the Duchies of Lancaster and Cornwall don’t pay tax and operate in the dark.
