There are so many unknowns right now with this vehicle - is it going to have BMW engines? It is going to be a hybrid? Z4 was pictured with a manual so...

I also own an FR-S and when I drive other cushier cars I am just happy to be back in the relative rawness of mine. I don’t think I’ll like this SI much even though I liked old Hondas. It sounds so smoothed out.

I have read a variety of reviews on this new SI now and my conclusion is that the people who drive it are kind of bored with it. It may handle well but honestly the motor sounds boring. I would have considered Hondas before because their motors were different from everyone elses, but now, I don’t see why I wouldn’t

Does it VTEC or at least make you feel like it’s still got some Honda VTEC verve?

Hi Raphael, screw you and your clickbait.

I know, damned clickbait world. Damn you jalopnik!!

I know this is Jalopnik’s style, but this title just annoys me to no end. Ironically, I think Jalopnik’s readers are more eloquent and perceptive than Buzzfeed, but we are treated more like infants.

I was just saying to someone else here that I had a 2001 Civic, realistically slow as hell but I was never bored because it sounded so furious. I maybe have never driven a car that I’ve liked more and I have driven many faster cars. It taught but me that acceleration and enjoyment are totally different things

Agree with that 100%. I had a 2001 Civic and I realised now that I was never really bored in that car. It took over 10 seconds to 60 but it sounded furious and I felt everything. And i loved savouring that feeling. I have driven many faster cars since but if the idea is that the acceleration experience should be over

Nah, I’ve been rolling my eyes with every AMG product from this decade. The fact is that cars are so good now that manufacturers don’t know how to improve on them so they just shove big power into luxury cars and SUVs

If the new NSX was a back-to-basics sports car that echoed the spirit of the original NSX, enthusiasts would have dug it but I don’t think the people who actually buy supercars would be as into it. I imagine that if you have a giant wad of cash, you want a superstar that is flashy, high-tech, and hybrid tech has a

Nope, still excited.

I think that sounds like an inline 6, doesn’t it?

Well this was a bit sensationalist wasn’t it? Those are light rail trains that are designed to start and stop frequently in urban areas, so it wasn’t anything like a giant freight train spanning city blocks that couldn’t stop.

I see your point about how the “ban cars” view is not adaptable to suburban environments. If I were to put blame on anyone it would be the collective society that allowed for the proliferation of low density suburbs in the first place

This may sound harsh, but there’s no transportation solution that can help when people think en masse that their place of residence shouldn’t touch anyone else’s and that there should only be sky above their roofs. Transit is intrinsically difficult in the burbs because to make a service frequent enough for a
