You do know that they literally they are working on DA4 right now and have for years right? They have openly talked about before they even announced Anthem. But yeah, it makes sense that they would scrap that, some kids said on the Internet. 

That wasn't really what happend. A bunch of people who worked ON andromeda worked on the earlier trilogy, all the writers, producers and the higher ups in general had worked on the OG games. 

I can’t understand how the Internet have started to shit so often on infinite. It never tried to do a branching sort of storytelling, hell the theme of the game is about how some things always stay the same. It have some intresting stuff to day about game narratives on a meta-level and have intresting worldbuilding.…

I can promise you that people said just the same thing back then and critized the comics for “ham-fisted” portrayal about “controversial” topics like the civil rights moments. You can just easily say it was a gimmick back then as it was now, if you want to be critical of it.
