Think of it as a quick "dashboard" for your apps. It runs along side the regular UI anyway so i dont get what you're complaining about.

Desktops include Windows 8 machines. They will be compatible with all programs you use on Windows 7/Vista/XP whetever, then again, no other tablet has "fully functional" FF/Chrome yet either, so i dont see your point.

I was mostly "meh" about Win8 until i saw this. My setup has two monitors and i think this could work great!

That's actually an amazing idea... Im not a huge fan of tablets as a work tool (to me they're shiny, distracting toys), but as a desktop peripheral, i could see that working very nicely.

I use KanbanFlow. Great graphically-organized to-do list. Plus it has a built-in Pomodoro timer/alarm. (25 minutes of undistracted work, 5 minute break, repeat).

That's market share though. I thought that had to do with revenue, but I could be wrong. Although I do find it hard to believe that Chrome is more popular than IE. I'm not sure if Ars Techinica's chart is irrelevant, or if Statcounter is inaccurate.
