I just sat on a jury a month ago (criminal case that was a lot closer to jaywalking than first degree murder) and I can tell you firsthand that, if boring the witness is a strategy, then it has to also mean that your strategy is for the jury to take absolutely nothing away from the questioning.

I don't feel a moment of sympathy for her. Denying how sick she was and doing a less than perfect job for her clients - arguably forgiveable. Stealing her client's money - utterly scummy behavior.
