I do too, except when plating / serving. Since children, I’ve become responsible for clean up after too. I can’t wait till the oldest can actually start helping (too unreliable and weak at this point)

Agreed, I always clean as I cook with the goal of having as little to clean after dinner a possible regardless of who is cleaning after (usually me).

In other words, not my household.

Yes, x-files is a very apt comparison. Maybe fringe too but I feel like they abandoned the procedural format much faster and had more mythology baked in from the get go.

And Charlie Jane Anders at io9 always reviewed it the best.

I think the narrative structure is really important to that though. At first the machine was a plot engine not a character, it could have just as easily been the lomb of destiny. If you stuck with it about half or 3/4 way through the first season you see that these cases are usually related and the deeper mythology

You can’t NOT impeach a Clinton.

I don’t think it binges well, the first 48 episodes only contain 1/8 of the info required for season 3+

Critics want the serialized portion to be central, which didn’t seem to happen until season 3.

I don’t know if I’d say season one as generic. I always describe it as Jonathan Nolan’s recycle bin. I feel like they were movies and plot twists he thought of but only half baked and simply plugged into the show. 1000x better than NCIS or Hawaii 5-0.

I found Ivanka’s long led first.

I hear Portland is nice.

North Korea is constantly embarrassing the US with their trolling twitter account.

Give this kid a CW show, or at least let him join team Arrow.

Damn, lost the Crossfit post guess.

Damn you beat me to it. I knew two people that were heavily invested in beanie babies when it was hot. I’ve always wondered what happened to their collection.

Crossfit bubble is bursting?

I’ve got like 90 cents under my mattress so you know I’m worried about the future.
