My Wii U couldn’t though. I have my own separate room in the house for my gaming/hobbies. If I wanted to casually play Zelda while watching a movie with my wife, I would have had to transplant the entire system and hook it up in my living room across the house. That’s a hassle and likely would have resulted in my wife

you might want rethink dropping a mic on the ground if there’s no audience to applaud you

Old woman chiming in.

DICK.... you don’t have any kids so your “experience” related/compared to this article is just you Ron Jeremy-ing yourself in front of your Large 4K screen.... Anyways come back in a few years if you ever have kids and take another stab at commenting with life experience (noted that you have most of the other

Dude, as not a parent, I can still relate to this. I’ve had to spend a lot of time in the hospital lately and the Switch has been a godsend.

If you don’t have kids, you can not remotely relate to the author or other parents who do when it comes to time constraints for personal items.

if your using hash tags, you NOT an old man

As someone who takes the bus, I got a lot of mileage out of my 3DS. Not just flash in the pan games like Pokémon Shuffle or Mario, but longer adventures like Hyrule Warriors or Ace Attorney too.

So your opinion 1) lacks any of the perspective Mark wrote about, 2) seems to pretend Switch has been a failure when it hasn’t, 3) is rooted in insecurity over how one looks to others in public while playing it, and 4) lacks a realistic perspective on the actual quality of the Switch’s hardware and how well it

If this was a political thread I’d assume you were a Russian bot.

Wow. That was “internetty” :)

“if I were on a loud bus with zero room to barely stand, I could not enjoy gaming at all”

Wow man. Are people without kids so unaware of what that actually entails?

It’s almost as though an adult with kids that they seem to interact with a lot when they’re home, and who commutes via public transport, has completely different wants and needs than an adult who doesn’t have kids and drives to work.

So... you don’t have kids, or a Switch?

Then you really have nothing to add here.

Kids are kind of the X factor in this situation. I have no idea what I did with my time before kids. I can’t even remember what that feels like.

Waiting at the doctor’s because your kid has hand, foot and mouth, fine.

Counter-point to both points: maybe e-sports are equally valid to physical sports and both are largely a waste of time. Have fun playing soccer with your friends, have fun playing Call of Duty in your house but making a huge Thing out of organized either sucks the joy out of it.
