I drove a q50 with the 3.0t engine and was very happy with how it delivered power. Id be happy to see that engine in something more sports oriented than even the q60. 

No my friend. He charged you 1 hour labor to do something you couldn't figure out. The fact that he was knowledgeable enough to do it in 10 minutes should be appreciated, not looked at as price gouging.
