Virginia ABC is a disaster. They put my then 85 year old grandfather in cuffs due over the incorrect claim that one of his wine festival volunteers had sold to an underage drinker.

One of the officers kept repeating, "stop resisting" and "put your hands behind your back" WHILE HIS HANDS WERE BEHIND HIS BACK, SOMEONE WAS STRADDLING HIM, HE WAS BEING CUFFED AND HIS HEAD WAS BLEEDING PROFUSELY.
The equivalent of saying someone "got their feelings hurt"
That language disgusts me. He sustained injuries because he was attacked by police.

Well, that's a whole 'nother level of awful.
In the course of an arrest being made, the arrested individual sustained injuries.
Apparently;
Yeah, like, one minute he was fine and the next he had "sustained injuries"! Sure, in the 59 seconds in between one of our officers slammed his head into the ground, but whatevs.
On Twitter this person says he is Martese Johnson's roommate and that it was in fact Martese's real I.D. that he presented.
He "was injured"? Uh, no, he "was assaulted".
My personal favorites that I get from male clients and colleagues when I'm talking about something I am a subject matter expert on are, "Let me stop you right there.." or "With all due respect..."
Even the comment, "I will allow you to finish" exudes unconscious bias, just sayin'.
