You sold me on baking in the hot sun. I like this better than sticking these things in fields where crops should be growing.

As an added benefit, you won’t return to a car that has been absolutely baking in the sun and/or the majority of your walk in the rain/snow would be covered.

No. I get paid by the angry comment.

Inland sharks could be a reality with the Trans-American Canal. I’d jump one, why not?

Never gonna get a canal job with that attitude, friend.

so you’re a big fan of big corporations and rich people eh?

Oh boy, you just can’t enjoy a little satire can you? I like the little nod to “A Modest Proposal”, not every article on this (or every) site can or should be a hard hitting piece about the car industry.... Get over yourself.

Should I post a photo of my college degree every time I write an article?

The car business is an oligopoly--prices are sticky in that environment, so yeah, they’re not going to do the consumers any favors.

Something, something, profits, car prices, something.....

yup - the cost of the components of a car don’t have anything to do with the price. The price is set by whatever the manufacturer (and subsequently dealer) thinks they can get away with.

I predict that the prices of the cars will not decrease dramatically. Maybe slightly. The profit margins on them, however, will increase substantially.

Exactly this.  She can’t do it, but we’re setting the stage for someone that can.

My brain autocorrects her last name to “Dildo” every single time.

This is a relatively low threat reminder that if enough people say it, it doesn’t matter if it was true, it becomes reality. Didulo is a crackpot and her followers are completely delusional but she could easily become a real threat if she was charismatic enough, convincing enough, etc. Its a reminder to people to bulk

I don’t know how she can believe this nonsense.

It’s almost like they choose to ignore the entire human history of paid labor that says ownership will always sacrifice public interest in order to make more money personally.

Anti-government conservatives have successfully pushed for industry self regulation for decades and so we get what we get.

...the more things change, eh? SIGH
