Form factor has been a big reason to dislike hybrids and EV’s so far.
I love wagons, and the only hybrid wagon that exists is... the Prius V. Which is what I bought, because it’s exactly the car I need. Though it’s really a piece of crap that will do until more exciting EV/Hybrid options are available, so this is a…
This is why I love this site and it’s commentariat - who cares if it’s legal, moral or practical - does it make the car better/faster/louder is the correct response.
How dare you exercise your right to choose in this capitalist economy! And for reasons that are well thought out? For shame.
Fair points, I agree for the most part. I think their use of off the shelf parts (Benz switchgear) is also a clue to having some experience.
I wonder if the Volvo guy’s involvement will end up raising the price?
Source for this? I’m genuinely curious, not being picky.
I wonder if it really is the cost of the tech vs. quality interior or is it a company that’s never built a car before doing their best and that’s not really all that great (relatively speaking).
I genuinely laughed (LOL’d, if you will).
I drive a Prius V, am I now less manly according to your calculus?
Though I do ride a motorcycle; does that make up for it, thou arbiter of masculinity?
Oh, and I’m a feminist, so where does that leave me in your books?
Careful there, you’ll blow some minds talking like that.
Your man card status is a-ok with me random internet stranger!
Nothing wrong with wanting to be comfortable.
a fact drove you out? that didn’t take much...
Used Prius battery packs can be had for $500 from a wrecker, and many first gen Prii(?) are still rolling their original batteries. NiMH are dead reliable when you have the charging software sorted like Toyota does.
Most batteries are nearly 100% recyclable.
So much this. Maybe if we taught boys to respect women as people and not treat them as objects...
Hmmm I wonder if it would survive a charter challenge? Cruel and unusual indeed!
this made my day.
So much this!!
I bought an F650GS because it was a good all round bike. After a few years I found out the kind of riding I liked (99% paved) and then swapped for an R1200R.
But the GS was perfect to start with because it let me do anything while figuring out what I preferred.
Which is exactly what the FD said, and was quoted in the article. Why didn’t anyone else comment on this before nattering on about chemical fires etc.? A flaming star for you sir.
So much this, I can’t even.
