Back when Burger King had hot dogs a few years back they were actually pretty darn good. Wish they’d bring them back. A quality place like Skyline Chili would be great to go national as well.

The nerd press is going to stay mad that Nintendo decided that to not make a Mario movie for middle-aged nerds.

They used to give you a ton of them if you got a burger to go. Sadly, you get like, a lame single handful of them now.

Yeah, Red Robin got those down pat, don’t they!

You’re very kind. I’m an awful cook, lol. I can’t flip a pancake without destroying it and, yes, food does seem better when make by someone else. I very seldom eat out. I made a dish for a potluck last week and was swearing in a very unlady-like way. Who are these jerks who think that people who work in kitchens

When the pandemic caused a shortage of paper towels in my area, I extended a roll by using a trick my Dad taught me. He’d use a paper towel to dry his hands and would hang it over the faucet to dry. Then he would use the dry paper towel to either dry his hands again, clean up a spill, clean the stove.

Peter: Holy crap, Lois, this is even worse than the time I lived in that small Alaskan town!

Getting a trainer was the best thing I could have done. I started training back in August 2022 and these past 7 months I’ve seen a lot of progress. I’ve tried the whole planet fitness thing with friend groups and such but that quickly dies out. My trainer really helps with keeping me motivated and this morning I got

I normally don’t make it a point to correct people. At my old job we always read someone’s order back to them before ringing them up just to make sure everything is going to the kitchen correct and would pronounce things the right way just because that’s how I was trained to pronounce them. Some people picked up on

Yeah, that was a lesson I came to myself after years - it can feel good to correct someone because, well, you’re correct and they aren’t, but it’s more an elitist trait and is usually needless and often actively annoying. If what they’re saying (either in terms of word pronunciation, grammar, or anything else) isn’t

Agreed, although I rarely go to the theater for comedies either. I typically only go for big budget stuff that needs to be seen on the big screen and horror, where you need the commitment of being in a theater (and the other people) for it to work properly.  There are exceptions where the cinematography is amazing,

But the price increases on the food are because the food delivery company is charging them a huge percentage of the bill, so they have to charge more for the food to not make it a loss to make the order. This still comes down to the costs imposed by the delivery app.

Shatner rode the coattail of an unprecedented kind of fandom to reach his level of fame. Credit where credit is due, but Shatner owes as much to Trek as anyone. The rest of them all know or knew it; Shatner never seemed to have received the subspace message.

Wendys app has long been a mess as far as pricing logic. for the longest time you could get their croissant breakfast sandwiches for cheaper by picking the biscuit version and swaping the bun (now they charge extra for the croisant but it’s still cheaper by a little.

Power users also use a red vine as a straw to drink their coke in the theater.

having separate sections does seem better, and an easier “rule” to apply evenly. still stinks for parents with well-behaved kids that get stuck with the screamers, though :( .

Hm. I can empathize with both sides.

I think calling them “the CBC” and “the BBC” may be due to being public broadcasters? Governmental organizations tend to keep the “the” -> “the FBI” “the IRS” etc.

Western-themed one? All I can think of is one of the clipshow flashbacks and the paintball ep in s2

How on earth did Sarah Goldberg get overlooked for her performance in Barry this past season?
