I like going to the movies, so, selfishly, I hope theaters survive. But I think audiences have made pretty clear that there are really only a handful of movies per year that they’re willing to pay for a full theatrical experience to see. And I don’t think that makes them assholes or philistines.

Nope. Seemed like a pretty typical show. Closer Look, interviews, nothing different.

Fahmy has been bitten by leeches before, including at least one instance of one of the parasites landing in her eye.

Not that you asked, but one of them featured Peter Gallagher promoting Deeds, Al Franken and a musical performance by Doves.

Went to a Seth Meyers taping back in November. They don’t play through the entire break. They’ll stop after they cut, and start when the break is over.

When we were getting seated for the taping, they were blasting random pop songs over the speakers. The band didn’t come out until right before the show started, played

I went to a Leno taping. During commercials, Eubank had that place rocking. Then the show would come back and mellow jazz start and felt like crashing in to a brick wall.

Yeah a big part of their job is to keep the live audience energized during breaks.  Now you’ll have people playing on their phones for three minutes.

I saw Conan in studio a couple times, and man does the band make a difference. Not only was the MW7 great, but it was pretty integral to creating the vibe of the show.

Col. Jack O’Neill (with two L’s) and crew has kept those orbital planetary bombings to a minimum.

Thatherton!

Burt Reynolds only voiced Thatherton the first time he showed up. Every other episode it was Toby Huss.

I’m thinking about how to work in that Thatherton ends up stealing Hank’s idea and selling it to Cuban, then I remember Burt Reynolds isn’t around anymore to voice him.

This may be shocking, but you do get to choose which shows and movies you watch and which you ignore. If you’re burned out on Star Wars, you can skip most of it and just watch Andor. If you need to catch up for something you ARE interested in, just read one of the fifty explainers that sprout up right before a new

‘”Although I don’t think she has a great chance of escaping judgment here, even if they’re buying her some time for now.”’

I guess the concept is that either of those actions would be enough to convict, and of course both is a possibility as well. Not being an attorney in New Mexico, I have no idea if the jury has to find her guilty for precisely the same reasons.

Yeah of the fast food Mexican places we have Rosa’s is top tier, and as I mentioned FAST

Yeah Rosa’s is good and has hands down the fastest drive thru I have ever seen.  But this is also Texas, in my town we have 3 Taco Bell’s and like 50 or 60 taquerias.

YouTube implemented the rule after the feds made it clear they were going to “crack down”* on influencers doing this.

Glad I’m not the only one who didn’t hate Dial of Destiny. I say that as someone who considers Raiders a perfect movie and *does* hate Skull.

Everything you said also applies to Coming 2 America, which was unexpectedly fine/funny
