It’s funny to ready about the Emmy nomination because when I watched this episode, I said “this is the one where they’re going for an Emmy.” That could have been a slight, but the episode is genuinely impressive and fits nicely within a really engaging show.

Social media is fun but it makes parenting too performative, so I appreciate that you’ve found some freedom, especially as a writer. That’s got to add a weird layer of pressure to how you do things.

Good points! Thanks!

I think you’re right that it can be healthy to eat less at a time and more frequently if your physical activity level is best supported by it. I doubt that most families (at least in the US) eat that way (or get enough regular exercise), so snacks might just be forming a mid-morning or mid-afternoon craving. I think

I wonder if school snacks are really a good idea.

Breaking all the time is unprofessional, unless it becomes a feature instead of a bug. It’s a game. Waiting for Jimmy Fallon or Bill Hader to break is fun and adds interest to the show, in my opinion. If everyone is breaking all the time, though, it’s like a video podcast of a middle school sleep over - no one needs

Get the team that made/makes Homelander’s suit to make him one, too. Herc can be modest...maybe a god that visted the Mediterranean isn’t ready for Norse winters and has to keep covered up?

Queue a new set of “investigative” pieces about acoustic levitation for building the pyramids in Egypt and allowing for UFO flight.

He could have said it privately or had the just thought talking to himself...just sayin’.

My wife and I have tickets to see him and Martin Short in Dallas in October. Looking forward to it!

I think it’s time for BK to become the wholesome nostalgia fast food brand. Bring back Kid Vid. Re-do the inside of (at least select locations) restaurants in the style of the 80's/90s. Put effort into more branding deals with legacy properties like the soon-to-be X-Men and Spiderman extensions of the ‘90s stories for

Kinda sounds from this piece like he felt protective of the younger female—maybe weirdly so, but maybe based on his personal experience. As for the female co-worker he abruptly fired and attempted to kiss, if true, it sounds like he would have fired her so they were in the clear to start a romantic relationship he

For a second I was considering the day the “perfect run” was achieved and competition in the game grinds to a halt. Hopefully if that happens, other categories like what you’re saying really do come up.

I don’t know why, but there’s something irritating about shortening words like that. It bothers me in speech and in writing. I might dislike it more than when people over-pronounce words from other languages in an attempt to...be authentic to the culture, I guess?

I can’t look back without nostalgia lensing—it’s not just about what was on the Internet then, but what was going on in my life and what I knew/though I knew about the world then.

We all knew these days were coming. We’ve spent a long time creating an environment for ourselves that we ourselves were not created for, and now that environment’s inhospitality is becoming clear in the Instagram region.

I can’t think of any of my own, but my wife is a fan of Jack-In -The-Box’s Fajita Pita. She also tells me the (now discontinued) Chick-Fil-A Chicken Salad Sandwich was also a strong choice.

I can appreciate it as a feat of mastery (and I’m excited for the practical effects industry!), but I don’t think I could be entertained by something that seems real. I also question how realistic it is vs. how visceral it is—it’s subtle but there’s a difference between “that looks like it’s really happening” and “I

Right? If such a contingency exists, I’d prefer to think of them as the early Flat-Earth Society, which was satirical, and hopefully like them just a little too good at it.

I’m probably ignorant here, but I think at least in the US, the system is not in great shape but it still contains the means to be corrected by the people without violence. Obviously that doesn’t happen unless the people make changes intentionally, but I think it’s still possible.
