I appreciate the perspective here. I’m not sure I’d word slide 11 the way you did, but then I’m not the one that put the whole thing together so it’s easy for me to point things out. Nonetheless, it’s a little concerning when worded that way. Maybe “know before you go” or something?

Maybe it’s too meta, but they could do a movie where Indy’s gone and others try to fill his shoes, but can’t. A failed adventure that demonstrates how special Indy is/was.

Whenever someone wants to make Ryu go dark, they show him this.

It seems to me that this is an appeal to the semi-ironic “Rad Dad” kind of think that gets a lot of Instagram traction. Embracing what’s corny and wholesome might be kind of funny, but there’s something safe and comfortable when you’re dealing with someone who is intentionally not too cool for school.

I’d like to think this is where Indy and the SCP Foundation get a crossover, but that’s not happening. And since the Fountain of Youth is the best answer but clearly taken, I’m going with the Spear of Destiny (The lance used to pierce Christ’s side at the crucifixion, which at least according to a Wolfenstein game is

I’d probably convince myself I’d somehow swallow the chopstick and couldn’t do it.

Side note: You can give your dog some relief by freezing broth solid and letting him/her chomp one to cool off a bit.

It’s weird when a story like this (in WWE) is real.

I’m trying to make sense of this whole thing. Please forgive me if I’m off base here and help me to understand, but here’s how I it seems to me that the juror came to that conclusion:

I’ve got a trip coming up soon with the family (including kids). You got me thinking about this ahead of time a little bit, so thanks for that. It’ll still probably come down to finding the cheapest thing that will satiate the little ones, but I’ll still enjoy considering the Platonic ideal of our pre-trip lunch.

This is a smart move. It’s like picking a car—manual (classic) or automatic (modern). If I may extend the driving analogy a little further, it’s nice to have an on-ramp for new (or old) causal players. This makes me excited because the game could be more accessible to my own young kids this way.

“...graduating from a pool to off-shore dives on California’s Catalina island.”

If you really want a sense of the rules of a fistfight, start watching Worldstar fight comps and make a checklist. It’s terrible but it’s a primary source.

Thinking about it a bit more today, I don’t think Albert is in any trouble. The LAPD in the Barry universe is too inept to connect them. He can just tell his supervisors he was following a hunch and ended up in the wrong place at the wrong time and that’s why he wasn’t the one to arrest Barry. That wouldn’t be a lie,

You know, there’s a lake about 30 miles from Santa Fe. Great place to park a truck...

Thanks for responding! I think you’re right about cameras and 9/11, though I doubt it was a conscious move away from UFOs even if cameras everywhere was a driving force. Thinking about what triggered the UFO craze is fun, I agree! It seems like there’s always been a thread since at least WW2 or the Roswell Incident.

I thought this episode was really satisfying. Other thoughts:

I think I see what you mean, but you mind elaborating on that a bit?

Maybe. Or perhaps two worlds that, if a book about the other was written in one of them, it would be allegorical for their own world. Whatever it is, it’s not going to be a one-to-one and it doesn’t need to be. It just needs to be another world that feels like a possible reality where ghosts cause a problem and a team

It does seem to send ghosts away—theoretically to another plane. Maybe there are two sides and crossing the streams just sends the baddies to be a problem on the other side--maybe in a different manifestation as well?
