I mean to be fair, if you aren’t pre-disposed to automatically pull the sexist card, it kind of makes sense from a business/marketing perspective.

She bought the car before they were the target of every punk kid around. I don’t know what precautions she then took to make it less of a target once this became an issue, but it’s not always easy to simply swap to a new car, especially when people don’t particularly want to buy your old one for the exact same reason…
