Sounds like another screw job with little consequences for those who probably knew exactly what they were doing. The only thing more corrupt than towing companies is elected politicians. In every city the stories of what these guys do and get away with is legendar.y

This doesn’t sound like a win. The settlement sounds like bs that doesn’t reflect the replacement value of the vehicles or the personal items inside.

Yeah, that jumped out at me too.  Her civil suit is one thing, and it’s well-deserved, but there should absolutely be serious criminal charges against these liars.

Cops lie. It should always be assumed that any cop is lying, regardless of the circumstances. Whether something as innocent as a bungled fast food order, or something as serious as murder. They are allowed to lie, so they do, whenever it benefits them, with impunity.

If I lied to a grand jury it would ruin my life (which is why I wouldn’t even consider doing it.) For cops, it is just another tuesday.

Not that I’m siding with the Russians, but it does seem kind of dumb that it’s literally illegal for the plane to take off, but it’s still getting charged parking fees. Seems like a situation to have a waiver for one empty flight of only crew to bring it out of the country

Making roads narrower is stupid and unsafe for all involved. What they need are dedicated bike lanes, period.

I will care about cyclists when they are start acting like they belong on the road. I have seen to many in my lifetime ignoring the rules of the road, stop signs, turn lanes, using any sort of signals, running red lights etc.. When they are held accountable like other vehicle and motorcycles, then I will care about…
