Regarding the testing thing ... hasn’t that ship sailed already? In other words, even if we suddenly have the ability to test millions, wouldn’t performing the contact tracing be next to impossible at this point?

According to SteamCharts it’s got a 30 day average of 107 players online at any given time. So basically, no, lol.

Hold on a second. Artifact still has players?

They’ll never do it, but they really do need to let Yokotaro make his own Final Fantasy game. Nier Automata surprised the shit out of me over how much it pushed the boundaries of JRPG storytelling I like me some classical RPGing (see Dragon Quest XI), but I’m getting tired of watching the same anime tropes play out

Yesssss. I have been holding off on playing Gestalt because I always thought the dynamic between Nier and Emil was weird in that game.

I’m down for this. Automata had enough small references to the other games that it made me interested in them. They're getting hard to find these days as well

It reminds me of Ultima Online turning off housing decay because of 9/11.

this is very kind! thank you :)

I think it should be something that speaks to you Nathan. Knowing that you are going to decorate your abode with spaghetti walls and as a call back to an impressive review you wrote, I would suggest Papyrus Island.

Actually, there’s a mod that does it called DeepRim. Sadly, it hasn’t been updated for 1.1 and the project appears to be dead. Don’t tell anyone, but I may have decompiled the mod’s source code and I may be trying to update it.

I’ve been holding out on replaying dwarf fortress ever since the steam version got announced.... When it comes out... I’m gonna have some FUN.

Like, it’s not a very good direct, but given how uncertain everything is due to Coronavirus, I’m pretty okay with that.

Moving Out also lets you ride around in a wheelchair

The main character’s brother in FFTA is wheelchair bound in the real world. It’s part of the reason he doesn’t want to leave Ivalice.

Only other game I can think of where you can be in a wheelchair as part of the main game is Overcooked. Any others?

My wife and I were discussing what to do about this when we were getting the game because we knew it would be somewhat of a problem.  We didn’t realize just how restrictive until just now.  All of a sudden I feel a lot better I bought my wife her own switch.

So, let me see if I get this line of thinking...

When it came time to begin work on Episode Three, however, nobody could come up with a unifying idea that possessed the sense of “wonderment, or opening, or expansion” that had come to characterize Half-Life internally.

Half-Life 3 opens with the episodes being a dream in Gordon Freeman’s mind. From there it devolves into a series of micro-transactions that are used to progress through the entire game. Oh, did I forget to mention its mobile-only, too?

Yeah. On one hand, with games, I respect putting a story on a back-seat in order to make a great game that’s fun to play... but when you are doing something episodic and start something, just f’ing finish it and save your attempt at something huge and groundbreaking for Half-Life 3.
