I can’t argue the inherent difference in perceived value, but you could also argue there are folks opposite to us who couldn’t care less about getting rare cards in CCGs but gotta have that Mercy skin.

Either way, I do legitimately think they’re both gambling.

I feel like CCG’s inherently feel more valuable because they directly contribute to your playing of the game, whereas (in most cases) other games are currency junk, cosmetics, or temporary power-ups. Obviously I’m painting a wide-freaking brush there, so it’s not black and white.

Oh I’m well aware! Which is why I think we should abolish the ESRB and go straight to government action given they’ve proven time and again that they can’t self-regulate shit!

They’re fun in the sense that they’re designed to draw you in and make you want more, which to me is predatory, but I know not everyone shares that viewpoint haha.

I CAN FINALLY PLAY THIS GAME :D

They’re slapping a sticker on practically every game that exists and calling it a day.

Gee look at all that helpful information that lawyer provided. Good lord lmao.

The entire point of industry self-regulation is to, you know, regulate. The ESRB could have as much power as the industry wants it to have.

Because then parents would probably actively disengage from those purchases.

“We don’t believe it does. We think it’s a fun way to acquire virtual items for use within the game.”

Yea I’m fibbing a bit, I did end up taking most of them, but didn’t bother with AP Physics or Computer Science exams, as I knew they weren’t applicable to my major of choice (and I wasn’t confidence I’d pass them well enough).

Took lots of History, Chemistry, Bio, Government, etc though!

And also like every AP exam, I skipped out on taking those exams!

Oh I know, and agree mostly, I just also think it’s worth mentioning that no one is infallible at Starcraft II.

I’ve been playing through BG2 actually! I’m trying to pace it in chunks given there’s so much to do, but I am enjoying it for what it is.

Hell even Pros make mistakes often. The GSL has made that all too clear, and they’re still amazingly good players!

One of the first*, curse my re-writes!

Edit: Jesus I even got the extended comment wrong! xD

Aww darn, you got me :(

Pillars took a bit for me to get into, given it was one of the isometric RPGs I had ever played. It really does pay off though, and I’m a proud backer of the second game. Obsidian has been killing it lately, so I’m stoked to see this release in full.

    Goddamnit +1

Super Smash Bros V Stage, for sure.
