Or if I’m the hiring guy, I might think you are trying too hard and go with the introvert.

Holy crap. That might be the best take. I’m technically a Gen X’r, but really ignored a lot of that generational stuff. But lately the whole Boomer vs Millenial thing has me eyerolling. Your comment seriously just opened up my eyes. haha.

Maybe I’m being a boomer that’s not-actually-a-boomer, but this is about as poor as a recommendation as the “always send a thank you email after an interview”. It may sound great in theory, but I will never follow it and many of those I know (who are also not “boomers”) would do.

Interesting. I was genuinely curious. I acknowledged that I hadn’t been everywhere in Mexico, so I might not know eveverything... But, hey, you assume you know what kind of person I am. I’ll then just assume you think negatively about others with very little data... Glad I don’t know you in real life.

If you can’t hold a burrito then buy a burrito bowl! Amateurs!

Maybe a good hack” for folks who don’t know how to properly palm a burrito in the first place. The foil already does all the work for you...so I just don’t get this.

I just tried this an hour ago and it was far more effort than needed, in my opinion. I don’t get it. I’ve never had an issue with eating a burrito. Maybe because they’ve been such a staple in So Cal that I don’t notice issues? *shrug*

I feel like this needs an infomercial. Lots of people who overdo how “hard” it is to eat a burrito on a plate. I mean, this isn’t hurting me, but I have to wonder how hard it is for some people to eat a burrito...

No, I’m not saying a TV does the same thing. I’m saying I USE it the same way. I’ve never ONCE gotten up and used any control on a TV since 1986. Never once.

Again, that’s your take. There are plenty of machines/tech out there that rely on a remote or something not housed within the body of the main unit to work. I’ll never have a problem, since I can use my Echo Dot to command it to work through Alex. Or my tablet. Or my computer.

Again, that’s your issue. Your premise is that it’s a bad tool because it doesn’t meet YOUR requirements. That’s my issue with your comments. I started off by trying to acknowledge your gripes as valid (and they still are). But you seem to be unusually biased against the Joule. And the type of person who feels that

As I said, I can get what you’re saying. But you have different wants/needs.

I get what you’re saying and you’re right if that’s important to you. But the power of Joule (for me, specifically), is the bundled recipes and guides that come with the app. That, and the smaller footprint.

Not really a hack and this is purely subjective, but as a former So Cal guy that moved to Chicago 4 months ago (but visited 3-4 times a year for 6 years), I’ve found that locals hardly ever eat Chicago deep dish style pizza. That’s mostly reserved for when family/friends visit and they need to do the tourist thing.

Your first comment was saying it was cheap design. Then, your next comment pivoted to bad design. That’s changing the premise of your argument.

Now you’re changing your premise. You said cheaply designed. I never said anything about GOOD design. Yes, you can throw a lot of money at something and it not be a good design (which, can be a subjective thing). Cost does not always equal good/bad design.

Orrrr you know, people live and buy homes all the time that are not perfectly designed to fit every different living room layout. And even in 2017 tv’s are often a center point in most of peoples living room setups.

I don’t think it’s cheap design at all... Usually, the fireplace is a focal point of the room that it’s in. And, by it’s nature, the tv is also a focal point. I see many professionally designed homes that have a fireplace as the central part of a room. In my opinion, it has nothing to do with cheapening the home.

I never really did understand that. I know it probably seems like a logical place, design-wise. But I never liked going to friends places and craning my head back to watch tv.

He pulled the strong “dismissed your comments because they added nothing to the conversation” move. The coward move. hahaha. He seriously has really bad reading comprehension. I think I’ll dismiss his comments, too. Petty? Yeah. But hey, I’m just returning the favor. :)
