Sure, and he could have retired right after that...and yet here he is, a guy who bailed on retirement to continue driving in spite of the cockpits having no shield or anything else.

I mention that because it’s not a valid argument to make, yet you thought enough of it to try and push that drivel. Second, you are attempting to apply modern standards to another era. The past is a foreign country, they do things differently there. You really have no concept of what the world was like back then if…
Incorrect as usual....part of the allure and attraction always has been danger...too much safety also is a bad thing from a safety perspective. Dangerous driving became more prevalent the safer things became...if driver’s feel there is no danger, the risks become stupider as has already been seen numerous times over…
Ah, ad hominem attacks on Stirling Moss. You think because he “is also kind of a jerk” that he shouldn’t be taken seriously. You can consider someone a jerk, but doesn’t mean their words hold any less weight. Try again.
Ah what a great rebuttal, numerous logical fallacies in play help to highlight your inability to say anything of substance, or intelligence.
I probably will get grief for this, but they need to drop all of these protection schemes. They look like garbage and there needs to be an element of danger involved in F1. Before anyone cries foul, I’m a huge, huge motorcycle racing fan, and part of the allure is the danger involved with motorcycle racing...and as a…
Crosby and Malkin make everyone on the ice around them better. Teams who sign Pens FA’s to big deals usually find out they aren’t getting what they paid for because they don’t have anything close to the caliber talent on their teams that the Pens do. Sheary without Crosby is just a journeyman player.
I would take the UK feed without second thought and find it to be inexplicable that NBCSN didn’t just use that feed and have the studio show with the three they currently have. If you want quality F1 coverage, the commentators NEED to be at the circuit. Will Buxton is awful. Give me Martin Brundle 7 ways to Sunday.…
You can get beIN Sport through I think the Roku or any of the other streaming mediums Stef. I don’t mean to brag, but since it’s in my channel package, that is the only reason I have not cut the cable cord yet.
I have to disagree, NBC Sports F1 coverage is ghastly. Leigh Diffey needs to be gagged and forcibly removed from the coverage permanently. Hobbs and Matchett have been lost since they were no longer paired up with Bob Varsha. You could see the difference when Varsha filled in temporarily for Diffey that first year of…
Yeah I’m also pretty sure if any of those guys in the COTD drove the Vette hard, they would be accused by many of being reckless drivers putting the public at risk. That’s the trouble with driving a car or a motorcycle hard, you get labeled as a psychotic. Ask me how I know.

Stefan Bradl took a hell of a high side at the Mugello a couple of years ago.
Looks like a Harley Davidson Street Glide or Road Glide actually.
Didn’t phrase that correctly in the initial post. Meant what transpired during the reported exchange of words.
Well I mean during the reported exchange of words, sorry, didn’t phrase that properly in the initial comment. I’ve gotten hot at people when I am out riding, but my reaction is to get as far away from the problem party as I can. I’m not going to win in a battle between my bike and a 3000+lb vehicle.
Imagine how terrible of a driver you have to be to 1) react to a biker kicking your car at highway speeds, 2) try to engage a retaliatory attempt to take the biker out, and 3) to then lose control of the vehicle over something that was so inconsequential and not worth reacting to.
I really want to see a player hit a tape measure homerun that is proceeded with an admiration sequence where the bat boy brings out a pool chair with an umbrella “cocktail”, and then the player kicks back on the chair for 30 seconds while sipping from said “cocktail”.
I did enjoy the Williams/Kobashi match, but Kobashi carried that match quite a bit and his willingness to take the backdrop drivers from Doc is really what made that standout even further. Still makes me cringe watching that sequence today, knowing what I know now about brain injuries and the like.
For some reason I thought it was 5, thanks for the correction on that. Even at 4.5, that was still vastly too much for a match that was predicated on 1 major spot and a second that was accidental in nature. Iconic match? Absolutely. But goddamn stupid and unnecessary is a better description IMO.
