Maybe so, but sounds like a fun dad car.

Came here to say this. There were a lot of tragic losses to inflated gas prices.

Does the Mustang II count as a sports car? If so that.

I wanted a GS but for some odd reason when I was finally done browsing and was ready to buy. Prices just sky rocketed. This was years before covid fyi.

I think the C6 body style has aged better. They lost me with the C7, it’s kind of mess of mismatched shapes and black plastic cladding. But to each his own.

I personally think the C6 Z06 is the pinnacle. 7.0L NA V8 is just amazing. The styling is restrained in a way I enjoy. But the ZR1 has that dopey clear hood panel to look at the engine cover that would just make me feel like the biggest dork ever. Plus it’s heavier.

Yeah, agreeing on BS here, this thing was probably still slow. Also, “sports car handling”. Yeah, no. The only way that’s happening with an 80s Ranger is if someone put a Ranger body onto an actual sports car.

You guys know You can buy that badge for like $5 on Etsy and apply it Yourself, right?

I’d pay to see that.

All of them! Do any of them build cars anymore or is it just Trucks and SUV/CUVs

I would knock him down to $5k. I think the widebody and wheels would be worth it. Then I would slap in a newer gen LT5 and tell people, “oh yeah it’s still got the LT5 hehe”

Thinking of the vehicles they did have, though, they only rarely had more than 4 horsepower, which is not really enough to stay out of trouble.

Agreed, one look at that wheel and shifter and I have no interest in other “modifications” that were made, nor learning about what abuse this poor car has been through.

Seems like a decent enough car, but damn the seller seems insufferable. The attitude coupled with the annoying in-cabin mods are a turn-off to me.

I feel like I should care about this much more than I do. Like I appreciate that it’s basically the equivalent of a GT3 RS for drag racing, but you can already see the writing on the wall. We’re going to see innumerable articles about how dealers are marking them up, one is going to sell at BJ for like $2.5M for some

NP, C4 ZR1s are worth a decent amount and this appears to be a very clean, well-maintained example. I know they exist for cheaper, but I see no issue with the seller’s asking price on this one.

As an Evo X owner, I’m deeply offended and agree completely!

The Garret-turbo’d 3.8 V6 in the Grand National GNX.

This era of 4Runner has a V6 that has a tendency to blow its head gasket in and around the 200k mark. That and the price is obscene. ND.
