1971 Ford Pinto, and make sure the secret service car follows close behind.
I still have scars from a high-speed rollover on a 185 and many smaller crashes on a 90. At least they were light compared to modern quads that will break your back when they roll over you as in the video above.
The C6 chassis was released in 2004 and the ZR1 was down nearly 200 hp. I know it’s a big difference, but given how wild the GTD is, it doesn’t seem big enough.
20ish seconds faster than C6 ZR1 did 12+ years ago, something you could comfortably drive every day.
Also a former 2nd gen owner and agree on all points. Time seems to heal all wounds though, because after 15 years, I’m somehow pining for another one...
It looks good in profile, but I just don’t like the headlight/front end look. I lack the sophistication to judge which would be the better car!
I can’t get my kids to daycare in a wagon with less than 650 hp and it’s nice to have choice, but I’d still pick the RS6 Avant.
Diesel VWs are for people that firmly believe they’re saving the planet by getting great mileage, while they spew vast quantities of particulates and toxins into the atmosphere.
I also grew up driving a Dynasty exactly like this one, right down to the interior color. I vaguely remember it being a pretty decent car at the time, but we traded it in for an Intrepid before it accumulated too many miles.
All the stars for the GNX.
They missed a golden opportunity to call this “Escalanche”
Harley riders are on a different level of awful for this.
K-swapped miatas absolutely dominate in autocross.
I’m with you - not everything needs to be a supercar. I’m just saying that a 3600 lb truck with those stats is not going to be that much fun at an auto-X or lapping day (as they imply it may be).
Agreed - at 3600+ lbs, this isn’t going to be quick. It’ll likely feel similar to a 21+ year old S10 Xtreme.
Good point, but no one wants to be seen experiencing that wonderful suspension in the car it was originally designed for.
It has to be this. At least a 3rd gen Camaro can be made into something decent.
Not sure how I currently get my kids to school on time without this car.
Not the most desirable C6 plus Pep Boys stick-ons for more desirable C6 asking price = no dice.
