I bet they still voted for him though.
I bet they still voted for him though.
Aw man, I have seen enough Tom Cruise movies to picture exactly how he’d deliver that statement and the icy glare that would accompany it and it would be worse than the screaming for me.
They claim that people would know which kid because that kid would be absent the next day. :/ But really, I don’t think it should be considered a violation. People need to share this information!
Plus most places do a shit job of contact tracing. It’s a lot easier just to be like- who ate lunch with Jimmy this week?…
Yeah, I don’t plan to lie to my kid or to tell him he can’t talk about it. This really perfectly articulates what it is about that part of the Santa thing bothers me so much. He’s 5. It’s not his job to manage the beliefs of his peers. (Although, this is something I’m happy about covid- currently there are no peers to…
Please ask me for an honest outside opinion. I LOVE judging baby names. I will be brutally honest, but fair.
Yeah, a teacher friend of mine said they don’t even get told, they just know because they can tell their room’s been deep cleaned.
They’re not even boomers, they’re older than that. People in their 70-80 are the Silent Generation.
Yup. I am retiring the very second I am old enough. I will retire on my birthday and it will be glorious.
Holy crap. This was a good read.
No. Both shots will have to be from the same manufacturer.
Yeah, the district by me is only reporting cases if the student was at school within 48 hours of their positive test. So they’re effectively not reporting any positives that have resulted after a student has been quarantined more than 2 days. So it’s impossible to know if it’s spreading at these schools.
I just can’t believe this because it would be so simple- study participants could be getting routine covid tests, regardless of symptoms.
Except going through the wrong puberty can be devastating and can’t be reversed. And no one is letting kids make the decision to seek hormone blockers without parents or other adults guiding them. It’s not like it’s EASY for people to access this medical care already. There are multiple adults who have to help kids…
Most trans people report knowing since they were very young. Toddler aged. So for a child that has been insisting that they are not the gender they were assigned at birth for 5-10 years, it’s not something that people don’t have a long time to think about it. Hormone blockers grant them extra time to decide if they…
I’m going to regret engaging this topic, but no, this isn’t lifelong, it just gives them an opportunity to delay puberty until they can be sure. Going through the wrong puberty is hell on these kids, and fucks them up way worse in the long run. It’s VERY difficult for kids to access these hormone blockers,…
The only time it’s inappropriate to use gender neutral pronouns is if someone KNOWS the person’s gender, but is choosing to be vague because they don’t want to affirm that person’s gender. People do sometime use “they” when they are trying to talk around someone being trans, and if they know better, it’s a jerk thing…
Exactly! A year and a half is not a short time to date. If both people want to get married, they should know by then if they want to be married to each other. Like, not everyone wants to be married, but for people who do want that, they don’t have to date someone for 5 years to figure out if that’s the right person.
Gifts are just not my love language. I wish we could simplify and not do so much with holidays too.
I hope the progressive movement can still be a thing come 2022, but if Biden can’t get much done, some who voted for him will become cynical and will vote for whoever the Republicans nominate in 2024, and it could be someone worse than 45.
I guess I should rephrase- I’m not voting for Biden again, so I hope the democratic party spends the next four years finding a candidate people want to vote for.
