I think we should strongly consider “would immediately end a driving test” as a valid criteria to stop a public beta of any self-driving system. Until it can complete (and pass) a basic driving test, we should probably limit test vehicles to people hired and trained to properly monitor and control the vehicle.

18-20 year olds are able to carry guns and shoot people in far off lands. Hell, they can drive tanks and even semi-trucks there too! I’m not sure why this is perceived as being so dangerous. As long as they receive adequate training/certification, why is a 21 year old safe, but a 20 year old not?

Is there any dashcam footage of this chase? I used to ride dirtbikes all over the small town i lived in, but I stuck to dirt roads, i did not ride on public streets with cars. Running from the Cops on an illegal dirt bike while not licensed is 100% the fault of the kid and his idiot parents for letting him do that.…

How is this anyone’s fault but the kid’s? UNDERAGE, FLEEING THE POLICE, riding a dirt bike.

So it seems pretty clear the cops should not have pursued this kid and that ended up in his death.
