***ATTENTION**** "The Trail" (Season One, Ep. 6) is airing at 8 p.m. EST Thursday night. All those who loved the first two seasons of the show and would like to see the series return to the quality we were treated to then are encouraged to watch the repeat of this episode, a series classic. The hope is that enough

Exactly my feeling.

Yeah…..okay. Speak for yourself.

Yeah, if for no other reason than to show just how much the character of Olivia Pope has been destroyed…..Yeah. That sounds like a winner. :-(

This is soooooo true! It is so clear that neither the writers nor ABC give a damn about this show beyond how much money it can bring in. And the lack of respect for the viewership is made evident in so many ways — from characters who change personality on a dime, to the so-called plotlines that you aren't supposed to

I am an Olitz shipper who never thought that Olivia and Fitz should marry. I thought they should be together for sure, but not married.

Actually I thought it was Shonda saying "here's what I will never give you outside of fantasy or when I need a ratings boost!."

I fear that the episode may have been Fitz's swan song and an attempt on the part of Shonda to shut up Olitz shippers — at least those who are left! — by giving them what they want — at least in fantasy form. I really think that he will be gone by the end of the season. :-(

Hmmm…So many people found that to be exciting….I just wanted Abby to slap her back!

Thanks. Couldn't for the life of me place where I had seen Sandra before!

Yes….But when it's done really, really well, you don't MIND that you are being played….And, yes, I suspect I will have to have the E.R. at my neighborhood hospital on speed dial when it is finally revealed how Jack died.

Oh, but it was!

Which, in fact, will probably be the case in the future. Lots of episodes that equal, but do not surpass, the excellence of the one we saw last night.

Stockholm189, you may have just answered a question I have had for a while now: Why does AV Club not publish weekly reviews of shows like "Being Mary Jane" and "Queen Sugar." Must not be whi— umm, "hipster" enough for AV!!! That's really unfortunate. It diminishes some of my enjoyment of AV Club reviews overall.

Anyone who watched last night's episode of "This is Us" could not come
away from it without an understanding of why the turn Scandal has taken
is so distressing to so many fans and former fans. Everything in the
episode was on point — the acting, the script, the storytelling, the
directing,the production values.

Yes. He is. And like you I can't stop the waterworks just reading about certain scenes from last night never mind rewatching them. That was simply great television.

I have been DREADING the episode in which we would see the demise of William, and last night, there it was. Painful. Moving. Exhilarating. It was just everything. And if the actor portraying William doesn't get an Emmy nomination and a bunch of other awards, there is no justice at all.

It seems Marissa is going to be this spinoff's Kalinda as far as being the resident investigator is concerned.

The shows that come closest to portraying an enterprise run by Black professionals may be "Empire," "Power," "Suits" and "Queen Sugar." And, yes, because such an enterprise is so rarely seen on American TV, it would have been great to have seen The Good Fight on network television, especially now when our real-life

Wii this show be reviewed on a weekly basis when it returns for its second season this June. And, if not, why not?
