This.
This.
Even the idea that he’s a centrist is batshit crazy.
Everything needs to be a thing. Progressives can’t be happy unless we’re eating our own.
The fuck are you talking about?
“I mean, sure, the Trump administration isn’t summarily executing people in the streets”
The stores you reference are mostly used on tiny devices with tiny screens. Icons make more sense in that context. Splashed across a television set, those icons look cheesy and out of place. They just aren’t visually dense enough.
The problem really isn’t that it’s pretentious.
It can be argued that The Witcher is not based on a video game.
It’s amazing they haven’t found something more respectful of their time and money like Fallout 76.
The reality is that we’ve long passed the point of diminishing returns on all this hardware power. It takes quantum leaps in tech to produce smaller and smaller gains.
It’s not just the PSP. People who keep and collect older battery-powered tech should routinely check their devices for this kind of thing.
Rarely, but there have been a few exceptions if I really like the game and want to make a second run-through a bit more interesting.
Yeah, I know.
“I’d love a feature to turn on more complex and weird HUD artwork and designs in games next generation” so that we can write more articles admonishing you to turn the HUD off in order to enjoy the game properly.
It’s especially baffling when these developers put so much heart into the appearance of the games themselves. I don’t understand how or why they stumble on something so obvious.
Yeah, the Sonic Mania icon annoys me for the same reason. It looks like a shitty mobile game instead of the brilliant platformer it is.
And whatever penis swords your son might create on his own.
I know it’s just aesthetics, but I do wish developers would stick to the suggested style guide when designing home screen icons on Switch. These “single-image” icons work well on mobile platforms, but seem cheap and cheesy when everything around it is styled to look more like box art.
Then they can expect to get comments in return.
