What an unexpected gem this game turned out to be.

First one that leaps to my mind is Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture. For me, that game was complete magic. I’ve played it multiple times since release, and it just clicks with something in my soul. Doesn’t hurt that the score is phenomenal.

My favorite data log in the entire game.

Yeah, I think 3 gets the edge over 2.

Next on Lifehacker: try eating your oatmeal with a spoon instead of your hands.

It’s the only means of playing it on Switch because the Switch isn’t otherwise powerful enough to play it. This is an experiment to see if it’s possible to allow Switch owners to play games that would ordinarily be unplayable.

You’re overreacting.

Seeing as you’re now going to deal with video compression artifact and severe lag, I’d say it introduces even worse performance issues than the ones it purports to solve.

This stuff is always so amazing. I love things that force you to confront the limits of your own senses.

Must be another auditory illusion. Step one always sounds like “this is awesome” to me.

Barr’s shtick always had more to do with being shocking than with being observant or clever. In the 90s, it was shocking to see two women kiss on television. In 2018, it’s shocking to support the racist piece of shit that happens to be the most powerful man in the world.

Yeah, I think empathy isn’t enough. You kind of need to have the right combination of tact and empathy.

The “don’t compare” one is tough, and I’m not sure I entirely agree. On one hand, yes, it’s really easy to make it about you, and that’s very bad. And I agree it’s important to avoid the “I know how you feel” construction.

These all give the impression of being “behind the scenes” stills, with the actors goofing around out of character. In that regard, they remind me of the faux-outtakes that Pixar used to run during the end credits.

Yup. Which brings me right back to what I said the first time.

Here you go. If you’d like to keep being wrong, just let me know.

There is a warning on the box. On the Switch box, and on the Splatoon box.

It was made clear from the beginning that free online services on Switch were temporary until the subscription plan was in place.

Yes. Just like you’d lose access to multiplayer in all your PS4 and XB1 games if you stop paying those subscriptions.

The “modern games” offered by the other services usually suck. I can’t remember the last time I played one of my PS+ games, and I’ve had the service for years.
