Yeah. If this kind of thing were tongue in cheek, it wouldn’t bother me so much. But this obsessive search for canonical “truth” in things that just don’t have any is so weird.

Maybe it is on you, maybe it isn’t.

Honestly, I don’t even think it goes that far. I think Nintendo uses these characters the same way that Disney uses Mickey and his gang. They’re just plug-and-play characters that have vaguely-defined core personalities, and can otherwise be used for whatever the situation calls for.

And that’s totally fine. It’s not

It’s almost as if none of it matters, and there’s not really a such thing as Mario “canon.”

Honestly, you should just watch his video review because it’s a gas.

“The game’s open world is refreshingly grey and subdued”

“the irony of your post is that the more single player you play the worse you get at the multiplayer”

Kulu-Ya-Ku: “Regardless, I always feel quite bad for killing it.”

“No staff has received penalties for not buying the game or writing a review.”

I don’t understand why people are having so much trouble understanding or believing this.

“which players can control with their phone or tablet.”

It’s sad that this is news, because this really is the smart way to design games.

It’s not a matter of it being unpopular. It’s just totally disproportionate.

I get what you’re saying, but it’s worth noting:

Ah, how I love internet overreaction.

“I refuse to make 5 dollars every 6 months with stocks”

Makes sense. I threw out my blender because the food kept coming out all mushy.

The opening scene is phenomenal.

In the case of the Switch, it wouldn’t have benefited them to release during the holiday anyway. Sales were constrained by supply, not demand. The curve would look almost exactly the same, and consumers would have been even more frustrated than they already were.

Yeah, I’ll take solid indie support over “AAA” support any day.
