Sure. The kind of people who want to privatize Social Security, or who refer to it as “horse shit”, are the ones who are doing well enough that the system seems pointless. It doesn’t help or protect them because they literally don’t need the help or protection.
Because there are plenty of people who are, likewise, working 60-80 hours a week and are unable to feed their family and save.
Let’s bee 100% clear here. If you’re “paying into the system without benefiting from it,” it means that you’ve already benefited more than enough from the system. It’s time to benefit someone else, and to shut the hell up about it.
