I’ve been hot-and-cold about getting one of these for ages, but I’m frustrated that there *still* isn’t a model with some kind of battery backup. How do you design a high-end device like this and leave out the kind of functionality expected from even the most basic alarm clock?

Abzu was... fine.

You: You have a sad life, should stop playing games, and are easily dazzled by pretty colors.

Your argument is just so facile. If it’s the “same experience” as BotW except for waypoints, then you can just as easily say Horizon is the “same experience” as Tomb Raider but with some big robot animals thrown in. And they’re all the “same experience” as Assassin’s Creed, which has been filling big maps with a

My god, you really are a spectacular asshole.

“I don’t play things like Rocket League.”

One of the nice things about games is that there are lots of ways in which they can excel. Some games do really cool things with story and character. Others don’t rely on those elements at all.

I know people like to snicker about how stupid this is, but I’m sure these developers all appreciate the importance of visual consistency in the graphical design of their games. So I truly don’t understand why developers are having trouble with this.

I played the shit out of Horizon. It’s great.

Dude. I play on lots of platforms.

That’s a pretty weird thing to say.

Boy, the “handheld game” category is going to get pretty messy with the Switch in play. Seeing as it’s all 3DS games, will the category just vanish when the 3DS finally dries up?

Sega loves doing this. Dropping breadcrumbs and getting the fans in a lather, just to turn around and announce a mobile puzzle game or some shit.

Nintendo: Here’s a powerful home console you can carry around with you, and a bevy of amazing games to play on it.

It’s very enforceable when Sony can easily prevent unauthorized software from running on their own consoles.

It’s not the ESRB making the rule. It’s Sony.

“I can’t make it so that when you open a loot box, an artist gets an alarm in the middle of the night to come into work and model a new skin for you.”

Just rewatch the primary debates from last year. You’ll see all the citation you need.

Or just clip them in the shower, and don’t worry about the mess at all.

That’s pretty vintage South Park, really.
