I'm also very puzzled as to why they didn't just make ichat compatible with Facetime calls. Guess it's all a marketing thing and they want to push the Facetime 'brand'.

@Cru: Exactly... :-\

As much as I fear for the plight of the lowly educated, I'd rather have automation here in the U.S. then jobs going to China - a communist country that is no worse then the lauded Cuba that conservatives love to hate. (And Cuba doesn't a military capable of causing us great headaches - indirectly now, and directly

@KamWrex: I don't have time to research right now, but I heard a study within the last couple months that was completely to the contrary.

@Bitsbite: You're absolutely right.

Awesome !

I never bought the old Apple TV because it was too expensive. BUT, once the price dropped and the functionality increased, I ordered one right away. My main use for it is sharing photos and videos of our new baby from my Mac.

I think they're good ads, especially the second one, with the narrative at the end. (It might seem obvious to some, but without the narrative I think most people won't get the point in the first ad - that the phone is so easy to use that you won't have to be glued to it)

@RecipeForHate: Understood, but HD content still looks hella good, compared to 'SD' content.

@mattv888: I still think it will be CDMA/LTE, but I -do- agree with you.

@JMKarstetter: Normally, I would agree. But back then Apple didn't have the competitive pressure that it has now from Android.

@ckcallen: I used to think the exact same thing - that it wouldn't make a difference on such a small screen, till I got my Fascinate. 'HD' content from the web looks amazing.

@ian.g.case: Get a device with a better screen then !
