I was clearly responding to you being upset that someone posted the clear evidence that convicted her and saying that there should be a suicide hotline attached etc.. I was clearly not saying that those people in my case should be responsible, or likening me to them. Although, one of those was a healthcare hotline,

First off... if anyone in this comment section is suffering or thinking about suicide. Please, please get help. It’s available. Call 1-800-273-8255

Because people need to see this. It’s psychological violence and she was right to be convicted. As someone who has contemplated suicide, and reached out to people, I can tell you that we need to spend a lot more time focusing on what to do when someone reaches out. In a weird way, the people I reached out to were so

A police spokesperson told the paper that a man “sustained a neck injury,” and a second man was arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm. Yeah well. I await more information.

Also, in that usage, “I” is incorrect.

I agree. He looks slimier and more menacing. I think it also makes him look like less of an idiot but idk if that trade off is worth it.

Goddamn, girl.

She’s really using the “He has daughters!” excuse? And tossing in “I’ve known him forever!” and “You weren’t there!”

Honestly this movie seemed a little creepy even without thinking about the real women turned into lewd barbies angle.

Can I just say that I am so used to powerful men getting away with terrible acts, that I had to read this twice to make sure I hadn’t mis-read?

This is why I hide when I see a camera.

Literally me. I can take selfies- sort of? I guess because I can control it. But if I see a picture of me taken by someone else I freak out.

I had my picture taken for a brochure that exists at a college I graduated from.  I am terrified I’ll see it one day.  I don’t want to see it.  Ever.

I can relate, I guess. I’m thrown into a depression every time I see a photo of myself, regardless of how I’m dressed or styled.

This made me giggle....hard.

Ugh. It’s like a Where’s Waldo of awfulness- If you find Ted Cruz ...you lose!

I am raising 3 kids now, two daughters- one a tween and the other teen. What I’ve told them since they were little: “Your body is an instrument, not an ornament.” Don’t fall into the trap of thinking you have to look a certain way- what can your body DO?

Rejoined Kinja to star this. I haven’t heard this phrase, but it makes so much sense, even if you’re not thinking in terms of fat positivity/negativity.

I read this too! I share it with my kids so they can appreciate their own bodies and not judge the bodies of others. Every body has fat. Nobody IS fat.

Yes I also read this in a kinja comment and I loved it!

I just commented on this phrase and had the same question, I’m sorry I didn’t see your comment! I will move it under your thread, thanks!
