I live in cheektowaga and this is the first I've heard of this. I feel sick.

My first reaction to this was "No. Fucking. Way."
but also - those guys were literally masturbating on the job. That's what you picked up from this story? What she was reading? A book (however awful) that was a best-seller?
It shouldn't even be worthy of your comment.
Right, she was probably wearing a short skirt too. She was practically asking for it. She is clearly at fault here.
When I read articles detailing with excruciating detail about the systematic harassment and abuse of a woman, I like to pick up on details about what she was reading as if it makes one iota of difference…
Reading this stuff under the label "the worst sexual harassment lawsuit ever" is so cathartic—I've experienced a lot of the same stuff at different jobs, and it's nice to be reminded that it's not ok.
Oh wow, great point. It is a matter of public record, of course, but interwebz changes that game in a big way
Yes, weird...and it might never be read...especially after she gets the first death threat because her address is PUBLIC and people are the WORST
Can I refer you to Kraptastique14's excellent comment?
A couple of times, Mr. Ford kissed Ms. Sprada. Because she had experienced sexual trauma as a child, it was extremely difficult for her to confront sexually intimidating men.Ms. Sprada did not want him to kiss her.
Holy Hell. How careless (to leave her address on the documents).
Ever worked in a predominantly male blue collar job?
I have, for the past 21 years.
A lot of guys in jobs like that prefer to work with men, and really resent women coming into their little all male world.
This world, in modern day 2013 America, apparently.
I think you'd be surprised. I had penises shown to me, the urination thing actually happened to me several times, I had EXTREMELY lewd and mean things said about my body and this all happened at one place in my late teens/early 20s. I complained several times but was told 'boys will be boys' and that it was MY fault…
Hmmm...might someone who has the power blank that out in the document here? Seems pretty dangerous.
I work in construction. I believe her. I have had similar experiences. If you complain, you will never work in that town. Men will not only lie and ruin your work reputation but they have a good old boys network and they will make sure you don't get hired. Sad
I'm now in management so I don't deal with it but I would…
I was thinking the same thing. It would be kind of them to white-out her address.
I'm guessing that she was sitting and reading on her lunch break when a coworker saw her. It doesn't say she chose to bring it up with anyone.
It was nowhere near this degree but, I worked for a local beer distributor. There were minor incidents all the time. The only other female was one of the owners and she is a good old boy in a skirt. I ignored a lot of it just wanting to hunker down because, I really needed the job.
But they were kidding around you see! Feminists just need to lighten up /sarcasm.
In what world, and under what conditions, does anyone grow to believe these types of actions are acceptable?
