I think when people complain about the lack of diversity in older movies, it kind of ignores reality.. I mean the adult population in 1980 was like 90% white. A lot different than now.

My pet theory is that most of the people that have seen Mulholland Falls are people that saw it on a streaming service menu, mistook it for Mulholland Drive ("I heard that's good!") and then watched it with a disappointed look on their face.

I've never seen St. Elmo's Fire — somehow avoided that one.

I love you for that.

I posit that Teen Wolf Too is actually unwatchable.

I totally forgot that RDJ was in Back To School…………

I think that was definitely intentional, casting people and producers probably thought it was more 'relatable'. I wonder why that changed.

I think movies like that that started the career of lots of famous people are interesting to see just for that though.

As a child of the 80s its so great to see these random recognizable people continue to work in things that are still culturally relevant. i think it must be so depressing to be just thought of as 'the past', no matter how much money you have.

Great anecdote about John Barry doing the score for 'free'. That's the kind of fact that would probably be lost to history if it weren't for random interviews like this. It's the same reason I love watching Kevin Pollak Chat Show episodes. Any time you get someone in a substantial interview about history, you find

What if Christopher Reeve and Jane Seymour had had a baby? Could we just clone those genes forever?

Wow, Martha Plimpton can act?

I remember reading that people (critics?) thought he would be a huge star after Jesus' Son.

No matter what anyone has or hasn't done it doesn't change the fact that they've made great art

I don't know him that well but even as a straight man I remember seeing him in Without Limits about 20 years ago and thinking surely it isn't fair for someone to be this good-looking.

Sorry, I'm an idiot.. i was thinking Frank Silva but he died ages ago!

"Things picked up a bit when we got back to Dougie"
"Much preferred 5 and 6"

Yeah, it was a truly bad scene in an otherwise good episode. You've avoided exposition for the most part in the first 6 hours, don't start now.

I'm not seeing any of that, but I grant you the scene with Tammy weeks ago.

That is some inside info! I heard the first part but not the second.. do you have sources in there somewhere?
