I guess non-sarcasm can be lost on the internet too. I was actually being serious.

BTW, nice Smiths reference.

Geez, what a find.

They are many many steps ahead as storytellers.

If this is really the end of the Becky/Steven arc, I have to say it was one of the weakest of S3. I don't know why they existed in the story, other than to show more 'twin peaks rot beneath' and drug addiction, etc.

The deleted scene has been found.

Damn I'm usually not one for 'theories' but I really think SOMETHING like this is correct.

It is definitely the most mysterious… that and the scene where he is in the hotel in Argentina, from The Missing Pieces

A post I saw elsewhere reminded me that last time we saw James he was approaching the ringing sound in the boiler room of the Great Northern. Either there was a poor editing choice made or nothing ever came of that since we saw James in this one. Or more timeline nonsense…?

you couldn't be more wrong

glad someone else had my reaction.. the shot of them kissing and then the sky and the music going on and on i felt like something horrible was going to happen

You are on point as usual

Lynch effortlessly shoehorns weird dorky humor into the show. Someone electrocuting themselves with a fork in the wall socket is straight out of a list of things a 1950s mom would tell a kid not to do.

The Veils made a new fan tonight. Killer track.

Things are wrapping up in their slow methodical way.

No, it's a great scene and he appears in The Missing Pieces too. I think the character of Jeffries was intended to be tied in this way and they just happened to choose Bowie way back when. I don't think of it as a 'cameo role' which is usually just made to shoehorn a celebrity into the picture.

I have felt that way for a while. They are setting things up 'just in case', but there is enough tie-in to what's actually happening this season to not make anything seem like cliffhangers or pointless.

thank you so much for this laugh

Awesome spot on the Audrey/Billy dream conversation. I had forgotten that she said that at all. Gosh, I'm even more confused now.

No, you're correct. There's nothing throwback about The Return - except the actual scenes labeled as in the past e.g. in S8.
