I think lying is bad, but if his ultimate aim is for future generations to be able to live above ground, I don't think that puts him squarely in the bad camp. I'm sure they'll pull out more stuff to make him villainous though.

I don't think his use of Grindr or whatever was pure sexuality. I thought that was pretty cunning. It definitely had to do with his sexuality, but it wasn't purely sexual.
It's messed up of me that that would make her crush forgivable. I feel like it steps up the crazy enough that I'd be on board with it.
I said this last week, and I will continue to say this until it happens. HER NAME IS BONNIE WINTERBOTTOM. If she has a sex scene, we get to say WINTERBOTTOM IS COMING! However, I don't want that sex scene to happen with Annalise's husband. Annalise's husband seems to be a nice enough guy, but you muh be cray if you're…
Yeah I think that's a solid theory. It just bums me out anticipating how they're going to turn him into a bad guy. I think that stronger genetic line thing is something you could explain and have a lot of the newcomers sympathize with, but, aside from turning him into a villain over that, I suspect there's going to be…
Yeah, I may have already said this in my comment, but I don't think the show has to work that hard to keep him from turning into a villain. I honestly think that this is something that he could plainly explain to a lot of newcomers and citizens and they would be sympathetic.
"I don't want to keep secrets that I don't…
I don't have to disagree with anything you said in order to assert that it's trying to borrow some things from Lost to make a good product. I also don't have to disagree with anything you said to say that this show is in its nascent stages and has the potential to get much better. As I said before, comparing it to…
I don't know if you saw my other comment, but that's not a bad goal. I wouldn't be surprised if the President himself was sterile from that five minutes he spent out in the wild and specifically wanted to groom Clarke as his replacement. I also think, goodness, if the next generation inherited the genes that allowed…
Frank's behavior and the show's treatment of it is quite pro-Stalker. He's not a stalker, but a stalker could get some real encouragement from him.
Also another theory I came up with, maybe they want to incorporate the 48 into their population to increase genetic diversity and in hopes that some of their children will inherit the gene that helps them deal with the radiation. My problem with that is that it's a great reason to want to keep them down there, but I…
You know that reminds me of how much I hated the "We're not like them" moment in the finale. Clearly, it's going to pay off. Clarke is probably going to team up with that Grounder she spared to escape the mountain like some other people suggested. However, what was their plan going to be with her if they didn't get…
Does she have a weakness? I'm not saying that she needs to be awful in some way, but she just seems to do everything right. I'm not saying she succeeds all the time, but…idk I guess I have the opposite problem with her. I like my protagonists a bit more flawed.
eh, I think @avclub-524a7d5125b1c3e66df9f3e8d9183bc3:disqus is having fun being a bit of a jerk, but I am pretty sure that this show wants the teen girls badly. It's YA with a lot of strong female protagonists. This fits in pretty well with Divergent, Hunger Games, etc, as far as genre goes. I'm sure they hope to get…
It's early. I wouldn't underestimate it like that. I think the show has made a clear jump in quality from the first to second season. Also saying the show has taken its notes from the best parts of Lost is not the same as saying it's as good as Lost. That's simply complimenting both this show and Lost. I don't think…
I don't think the testing has to be very painful or invasive, and I'm sure some of those kids will end up being nice enough to volunteer some tissue. This is set in the future. Even today, we don't need to chop people up to do genetic testing.
lol "BOOM! Baby"
Yeah it might be the Arlo thing, but I think it's standard dystopian stuff. It seems like you can't just have an imperfect, eccentric leader doing his best. He also has to secretly be a bastard. His paternalism is a bit problematic though. I'm unsatisfied with his stated reasons for not letting Clarke out. They…
The first episode was understandable because Barry didn't know his strengths. The second episode was understandable because Barry didn't understand his limits (with the passing out stuff) and the ability of the guy to multiply meant that Barry ultimately didn't know how many of these guys he'd have to take out. The…
I think I need to just stop watching this show for a season or two.
ah, I didn't know it was already news
