also CAN'T? really? how many times in fiction have we seen a "bad" guy parading as a "good" guy by creating a problem and offering a solution for that problem ultimately because they wanted something else the whole time. This is classic villain stuff.

The bandits before were anti-rich. Now they're strangling already embattled regions that have resources that Kuvira specifically wants under her control. She has means and motive and the clues are all there. Even the bandits who attacked her train were under her orders. The orders weren't to attack her train, but to

You're missing the obvious thingy. Those bandits were under standing orders by Kuvira to stop the flow of resources into that region. They prepared a blockade ahead of time because trains try to come in from that route, but they didn't realize it would be Kuvira. She shut up that bandit because she was attempting to

That "don't interrupt me" wasn't just bravado. Kuvira was afraid that that bandit would accidentally reveal that they work for her. Those bandits were under default orders from Kuvira to stop transport of resources into that region. They didn't know ahead of time that Kuvira's train would be coming from that route.

Yeah, they weren't going to give Wu real power, and Wu doesn't want real power. He just loves being rich and famous.

I'm positive it's not just the one bandit. Even the bandits that attacked Kuvira's train indirectly worked for Kuvira. I think she put out a general edict to prevent supplies from getting into that region that she wanted under her control. They blocked the tracks without realizing it was Kuvira's train they were

It's not at all convoluted. The episode is totally telegraphing it, and it's a classic bad guy pretending to be a good guy move.

I think you'll be disappointed. There's no way she isn't a big bad. At the very leas she'll be as bad as Amon's brother.

only cuz it's funny and possibly painfully true

"plotting", did the characters in Republic City even talk about Kuvira? I don't know how her power hunger isn't obvious to them. My point is that plotting implies some sort of secrecy. Her methods might be under wraps, but her goal is so obvious.

Kuvira isn't just behind one bandit attack. I'm sure we're going to find out that she's behind all the bandit attacks. That's a cunning move, but "good" will turn out to be the wrong word for her.

I am sure Kuvira is behind all the Bandit attacks. They serve her interests. The bandits who attacked the train simply didn't realize Kuvira was on it. The lady bandit's attempt to show fealty would have revealed too much that's why Kuvira silenced her groveling.

Kuvira is also the one behind the bandit attacks. I'm sure the show will reveal this. That's why she silenced that bandit who attempted to show fealty. The bandits also clearly serve her interests. It's more than fear. They know she's the boss already.

Good point

Thursday night is a bit competitive as it stands and has quite a few popular scripted shows with audiences who might also enjoy Sleepy Hollow. Putting it on Monday kinda keeps them from having to choose. I wonder if Marvel's AoS scared them off of Tuesday which seems pretty open besides all the NCIS's.

lol @avclub-da496e2db2e50a068b4ae5549d4ae1b0:disqus @SaoirseRonanTheAccuser:disqus I don't really care how good or bad her American accent is or how closely she mirrors people in real life. She could have behaved like those people and still kept her lovely speaking voice. It may just be my visceral negative reaction

lol I wonder if I'd feel differently if I never saw that episode of NTSFSDSUV

I hate smug Taco. I wouldn't mind if they killed him off, but I enjoyed him when he was doing his magical hobotang thing and simply baffled everybody with small details of how he lived.

lol sorry, I hate smug Taco. hate hate hate, I prefer it when he is simply a magical stoner nomad.

Taco was enjoyable when he was more of a magical nomad. I hate smug taco.
